Guest guest
Is there anyone here who has successfully gotten rid of or at least gone into remission with an autoimmune disease, who has done so by fasting? I think I have Sjogrens disease and would like to try the fasting approach, before trying drugs. Thank you.
Guest guest
I've never been diagnosed, but my mother and grandmother had it. I'm sure I had it or was on the verge. That was about 7 years ago. I fasted for 21 days (juice 5 days water 11 days juice 5 days). Then I went 100% raw food, no dairy, no flesh, no grains, no sugar and I've not had a problem since. And I do mean NO problem. Went through menopause without a single hot flash, lost my depression, my skin looks like a 30 year olds' and I'm 55. Hair is a platinum color that people think I dye when in fact I was born a redhead and this is my natural color now. Raw food eating is the greatest. And I do mean NO problem. Shari, when you fasted; did you do it on your own, or were you supervised by a doctor? Also, when you say that you ate only raw food; was it always raw, or did you ever cook or steam it (for example, broccoli)? Thank you. Guest guest
Yes, I fasted with a naturopath. He had a group of us that fasted and met 2x per week. He was also available for consultation by phone 24/7. Steamed is cooked. Anything over 118 degrees F is cooked. In fact we don't have a stove, microwave, or oven in our home.
