Guest guest
Hi, Would you be inclined to share any of the information that you have gathered? It's a worthy endeavor as I have had some difficulty finding satisfying information on the topic of dysthymia. Thank you. Celeste
Guest guest
Hi Sheri, That's very generous. I can find the basic information---DSMIV, etc.---but I would like something more specific and detailed if you have it easily accessible. I know that it is a low-grade chronic depression lesser in degree than a major depression but more prolonged. I don't know the etiology but it seems to be familial, isn't it? What treatments seem to be effective. I have rarely seen it diagnosed but suspect that it is much more prevalent than it is diagnosed. I suspect that many live with it without recognizing it or getting treatment. Have you found that to be true in your experience? I would appreciate any dialogue and then maybe we could move from there. Thanks, Celeste

Guest guest
Dear Linda; I felt alone too when I first started out in the late eighties. I did not = worry. I was filled with joy at the sight of crystals, and still they fill = me with a sense of awe and wonder. Do not feel bad because you 'just read'= .. That is a great thing, and because your Heart and Spirit has heard the call= of the Stone People[ crystals, gems, rocks, metals, the Native Americans ca= ll them such] they will, though you may think you dont know much yet, commun= icate their messages to you. They are for the most part, very conversationa= l, and visual. Each stone has its own personality, just like us humans. Pl= ease try to remember that just in case you get a stone that may seem loud, o= r arrogant when you try to touch it with your mind. :-) Once, I saw what was called a " Teacher Crystal " by one author. This crysta= l had to weigh at least two pounds and was a bright, light drawing mass of = generators, double terminates, channeler, receiver crystals in a huge cluste= r, with hardly any matrix. It was COVERED with record markings, and very li= ttle Devic frost. I was in love!! I had the presence of mind, to ask if t= his was a stone for me; after all, one can become addicted to the crystalli= ne energy and beauty, and I didnt want to have the burden of removing a crys= tal that should have been for someone else. I left the gem show, and went home with the purchases I had made, and with = my mind still on the crystal, I recalled its splendor in my mind's eye, and = was about to ask the question... I didnt get the chance... what I heard was = a nearly musical, yet forceful choir of polyphonic voices say, " We are not f= or you at this time''....thinking I had somehow heard in error, I formed the= question in my mind again.. I got the same answer.. I did not go back and p= urchase the stone.. I was at first hurt by what I considered and arrogant an= d insulting tone. I later realized with Spirit's help that it was just the = nature of some very ancient entities, who were unaccustomed to human emotion= s, and really did not mean to insult me, it was just their way. Guest guest
NBAO is recognized byinsurance companies, adjusters, attorney's etc. >>>What does this mean? What does an adjuster recognized if an NBAO does a report compared to my report for example? In what legal preceding an NBAO report hold more credibility than another one (although having a NBAO, just like my DAAPM, looks good but really does not mean anything). I can tell you that it is the quality of the work and reports that makes the difference. I have had a boarded orthopedic surgeon report thrown out just because he missed a scar on the patient aria of complaint, and therefore it was questioned if he actually did the examination on the patient. As long as we create boards that do not go through a true community process they will not hold water to any legal challenge. This is something that the profession is will have to address at some point of development. Guest guest
In Love and Light, I just want to thank all who responded to my experience with an earthbound entity. Your insights and support have helped me to process this experience as part of my evolution. I followed up on my client and he's doing much better. He says the physical and emotional manifestations from the intrusion are healing. In conversing with him it was revealed that he and the entity had a sympathetic resonance going. There were characteristics in both personalities which resonated with each other allowing the connection. This to me is a sign for him to release these thoughtforms which shape the characteristics to allow positive change. When the time is ripe and all is in accord, I believe he will release the thoughtforms for they would have serve their purpose as a life lesson. Again thank all of you, the love you've shared is cherished. Warmest Regards, Franke

Guest guest
Hiya Evelyn, I am so glad to hear that your mom is doing so much better! One step at a time! My thoughts and prayers are still with you, your mom and your whole family *Hugs* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Evelyn Millican [edandevmil] I have to send a note to say Thank you. Thank you to all of you who said a prayer, lit a candle, sent healing thoughts or sent well wishes. There is a power higher than heaven and earth no matter what we call it or how we celebrate it and for this I am grateful. When I went to the hospital today, I found mom not only sitting up in bed but she had eaten her dinner (and said the macaroni and cheese was very good) and she was smiling. She is still far from out of the woods and I don't kid myself that she is but it felt so good to see her with a smile on her face. Her sister came down from Riverview to see her and that was so good for them both. The results from her EGD came back and there was indeed a bleeding Ulcer but it is healing itself and there will be no intervention. Her blood count is staying stable for now. Her heart rate is still very erratic but that is due to the congestive heart failure. Her blood pressure fluctuates somewhat and they watch it very closely. No one has said anything about how long she will be there but we'll take it one step at a time. God does indeed answer prayer. If you could have been standing beside me you would understand why I say that. She came as close to leaving as I want her to for a while. The seizure was the worst kind that she could have had and could very well have ended her life with her heart in the condition it is in. I guess she still has some work to do here. She says that all she wants to do is to get back to the nursing home where she can witness for the Lord. This has always been my mothers greatest calling and she has always done it her entire life. I just wanted to take a moment to say how very much I appreciate the outpouring of love and concern that you have sent to me and my family. I will always be grateful for your friendship and compassion. Love to you all, Evelyn
Guest guest
Sorry to see you go Deana; it was nice having you here. I guess we all do what we can, and what we feel right about. I try as much as possible to use organic food, but that is often limited by the budget, and availability. I must admit that I am more concerned about what my 6-year-old son eats, that about me personally LOL, but I'm learning to look after myself also!! I'm certainly not perfect with our food intake, but it's as much as I feel good about right now. And this stage has taken me 3 years so far. So it's a gradual development. Anyhow, do well in whatever you choose to do :-) love Lisa - Deana herbal remedies ; Living_Foods ; ayurveda Tuesday, October 19, 2004 5:02 PM Herbal Remedies - Thank you helloInstead of trying to make my whole kitchen organic and live like I am living off the Earth and trying to change our housesold medicanal aproach to all organic and all herbal is just too much for me. I am glad with my choice to make healthy food choices. I am not going to worry my head off on every single ingredient I put into my shopping cart - it already takes me an hour and half to do grocery shopping. Think how long it would take then if I avoided all the "bad" list things.. I would be in the store half the day .. then the herbal shop... then this store and that store. In my search to try to have a perfect household I learned that I don't have to be perfect, our house doesn't have to be stocked with every health food with every herbal that everyone else uses... I am just gonna do what feels right. And with that I thank all of you for your support over the past few months and end my journey here. I will be unsubbing to alleviate these stresses from life and continue on with the rest of my lifes journey. Guest guest
Thank you for sharing this with us. Most of have children and completely understand the " hardest thing I ever had to do " thing. From what you just told us, it sounds to me like you have a very special daughter(s)-- and that is because she/they has very special parents. You just go on bragging all you want about her -- its wonderful to hear. I was married for a long time to an Air Force test pilot and now have a son who is a Major in the AF. My SO (also spent time in the AF) has a son who is a 2nd Lt. in the AF. So I do understand the fears/concerns and pride we have for our children who have chosen this career path. I remember when my ex was commissioned, and watching his parents having trouble containing the pride they felt, then watching my son receiving his commission and I went with my SO to to watch him pin his sons bars on him. It is an amazing event. I also have 2 daughters and I've seen them walk across the stage to receive degrees that they have worked very hard to receive. I remember on daughter not telling me she had a solo in the orchestra and realizing she was the only one playing and I wasn't breathing. Good memory's -- and there are so many. In the hardes thing area -- one for me was the day I realizing my children weren't children, but adults with their own lives. I had to change my mind set to that of one where that was how I wanted to treat them -- as adults -- Yes they call for advise and I share, but I always end it with, " its your call " . We have an interesting relationship now, not as mother and child but as adults who love and respect each other. Give both your girls a big hug and tell them how proud you are of them. OK so now you have me in tears LOL Rita cherliz_1 <cherry_r_swartz wrote: Rita, thank you for your reply. There are some things that happen in a mother's life that are filed away in the " hardest thing I ever had to do " file, like the first time you had to leave your new baby with a baby sitter for the first time, or the first day of school or kindergarten or preschool when you watch the child enter the class room and the door closes with you outside, that kind of thing. For me the hardest thing I ever went through, and a lot of other mothers can say the same thing, is when I watched my daughter leave for the airport with the recruiter. I had told Pam about this...we (my hubby and my older daughter and I) had gone with my youngest when she was ready to leave and met with the recruiter. He was going to take her from there and this was where we had to say goodbye. There is no way to describe the feeling when you see her drive away in that car, knowing where she is going to and what is ahead of her and not knowing when you would get to see her again. In our case, she had used her car and drove us to the recruiters because she wanted to drive her car for the last time and we were all being brave for her and no one was crying, we were making jokes and trying to make everyone laugh to make it easier on her. It was really starting to sink in to her of what she was doing, and we knew if anyone started to cry, she would lose it and that was not a good way to start, especially with the recruiter looking on. Then she left, and as we saw her drive off, we all got back into the car, and guess what...the keys were in her purse and that was on it's way to Lackland AFB! Like I told Pam, it was like something you would only see at the movies...we took off after them (it was a really big parking lot and they hadn't gotten to the highway yet) and really feeling stupid, tried to flag down the right car (funny how many cars all of a sudden looked exactly like the one the recruiter used). We got their attention just as they were about to make the turn onto the busy highway and was able to get the keys. I can't believe we had to chase that car all over the place, especially after this was over and she was really gone, it suddenly occurred to us that she still had her cell phone and we could have given her a call. Believe me, we won't forget that for a long time! She is now an Airman Leader and actually has some authority where she is. She has gotten her first Rope and there has been talk of Officer's Training School for her. Whatever way or whatever happens, we support her all the way. I know already she has changed a lot, from the times we got to talk to her..there is a difference in the way she talks..you can hear she has gained a lot of strength and definitely has a military bearing and she will a different person when we see her and I am glad. This is the making of her and as a parent, you always hope you did a good job in raising your children, especially in facing the world right now and you always wonder if you did enough. I now am strangely comforted with her being in the military because I know they are teaching her how to take care of herself and no matter where she goes, and whatever she does, this will serve her for the rest of her life. We started the process and the military is refining and strengthening and building on what we did and my daughter, no matter what, will be a better person for it. Well, enough on that. I do get carried away and will not be so long-winded on this (hopefully) in the future. This is still pretty new for me (she joined in March of this year), and I thank you all for bearing with me. Guest guest
Welcome to the Group. I too am a fairly new member. I was reading your posts and I just really wanted to say that always follow your intuition with stones. I have not been taught by anyone about stones at least not the metaphysical parts of them, but I have always seemed to have a knack for knowing what stones people need. I guess you could say that they " talk to me. " I have always found that the amethyst is the best stone for soothing emotional issues, I also rely heavily on a rather nice round flat piece of hematite. Emotional issues are real tough to get through and to try and pick one or two stones is really rather difficult, they have a way of letting you know when you will need them, and they will also let you know when it is time to let them go, usually by disappearing. As far as any good reference guides, I, as well as quite a few other members in this group rely on Melody's' Love is in the Earth collection. I also use the stone books by D. J . Conway. I can't put my hands on them right at this moment but if you would like for me to Email you the list of books with ISBN numbers so that you can order them let me know. Guest guest
Hi Issy I'll be thinking of you on Thursday and sending energy to help you through the day, such a sad time, my heart goes out to you. Ask your herbalist about St John Wort and conceiving. As far as I know (and I'm NOT a herbalist so please double check!) problems noted with SJW are that it interferes with the effect of the pill and can therefore lead to unwanted pregnancy. You could also try Reflexology - I had some really good results as a practitioner. Keep us in touch with how you go on, I'm sure we are all routing for you. Guest guest
Banu, I do not know which technique would work best for you. Find out what is available. I know that you want to begin achieving immediately, but you might have to be patient. Obtaining the " Energy Medicine " book might take some time. There are a couple of techniques in the book, for headache. In any case, migrane is the sort of thing that would probably respond to energy treatment. Meanwhile, here are a couple of websites you could visit, to begin to collect information: http://www.energymed.org/ http://www.energymed.org/hbank/hbank_contents.htm#WorkSp http://www.innersource.net/energy_medicine_faq/energy_medicine_qa_1index ..htm You could find techniques here to begin to help yourself, and if others (the children for example, but don't be surprised if they want nothing to do with it) are willing, then working with them would broaden your experience as well as take your attention away from your own 'stuff'. I did some quick searches, but could not find anything specifically for migrane. Perhaps you might have more luck. I feel I should mention what many people find about natural healing: we say that the cure often seems worse than the disease. It usually requires you to accept changes, and if you are not willing to do that, then there will be no result (obviously). Many energy techniques seem to rely on the fact that " Energy Follows Thought " , or words to that effect. It can be enhanced by visualising, strong intent, use of breath, massaging particular points ... etcetera. Because I am not a Reiki Master, there is not much I can say about Reiki. Can you feel love flowing from your Heart Centre? Perhaps you cannot, but it happens anyway. I gather that one of the things that the Reiki 'attunement' does, is to connect that flow to the hands. That way, it can be applied anywhere you can touch. First degree Reiki goes this far. In the Second degree, techniques are learnt, to apply across space and time (since these are no object in the psychic world). " Why? " , you might ask. Well, for example, many of our problems are caused by emotional reactions to things that happened in the past. And, you cannot physically 'touch' emotions. Or you might want to help someone who is not physically present. Begin to see? Enough for now. Take care. And I will send some Reiki.
