Guest guest
I'm were it's still cold, at least for today and tomorrow and then it's going to warm up in the mid to upper thirties and even forty! Tonight I'm making oatmeal cookies with little dried fruit and nuts in them. I also put maple syrup, whole wheat flour and apple pie spice in them. They are in the oven now... so I will have some good snacks shortly kellykebby <kellykebby Sent: Tue, 12 January, 2010 14:12:29 198 Members 198 members. How are you all doing? Guest guest
We have a whopping 19F here in Buffalo. It's warmer now than the last few days too. After this though, we will be getting that nice warm Alberta air.. jozefina stamp <josindah Sent: Tue, 12 January, 2010 19:21:08Re: 198 Members Hi Kel,I am doing just fine, seems my lupus is sleep tight right now (hope it'll be forever), speaking of cold northern states, I live in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada), it's been very cold here and we reached - 40 during Christmas time but is getting warmer right now (about 26 F).Jozefina. kellykebby <kellykebby > Tue, January 12, 2010 12:12:29 PM 198 Members 198 members. Guest guest
I enjoy watching the CBC and CTV Canadian made TV shows because I enjoy seeing people dressed like we dress here. It gets weird watching everyone wearing summer, or light jacket type clothing only on every TV show. I doubt most people in the US notice that because they mostly dress that way, but here in Buffalo I notice. To me it's weird never seeing people dressing like us. I see the Canadian shows and they have nice big warm sweaters and scarfs on. They have warm hats and coats.... big warm boots and excellent hats and gloves. When you have to wear that stuff a lot you start to make fashion out of it and with the US TV shows I'm just not seeing that. I have about six or seven winter coats and that many boots not to mention about ten or twelve hats and that many gloves. I have a tons of wool from scarves to socks even bunches of wool blankets, but in the US and on the US TV you don't see anyone with all those clothing items and all the wool making fashion.. Thank god for Canadian TV... at least someone dresses like us! jozefina stamp <josindah Sent: Tue, 12 January, 2010 19:52:58Re: 198 Members Ha...ha....ha. .. we stay inside as much as possible, beside I am working inside most of the time, except walk to the parking lot or while waiting at the bus stop.
