Hi Vicki, nice to hear from you. And I am glad you didn't get pressured to do chemo and that there was no other cancer found. I am familiar with the Budwig Protocol. The closest I've come to this is to take plain yogurt and mix it with Barlean's flax oil and you are right, it is NASTY, so I eat it down as fast as possible. Do you eat the quark they talk about in her book? I think it is very good for you, very oxygenating to the cells. Thank you for writing!

Fredna, Ihave tested positive twice out of four times for lupus activity and last week I was tested for Sjogren's so I don't know if I have that. I have many of those symptoms however. BUT! My symptoms fade quickly if my diet is raw veggies and fruits and a small amount of meat. NO WHEAT NO SUGAR NO UNNECESSARY CARBS NO PROCESSED FOODS. These feed systemic candida which I believe is the major cause for autoimmunity.

Glad people are writing! Kel

Yes, I have lupus and I feel much worse when I eat sugar or even

too many fruits and carbs. I know I have a problem with Candida. It is so hard

to stay away from those things, though, because one craves them!

Does that mean that if I don't crave sugar I don't have any of those nasty ailments?  I like a little in my tea but if anything is really sweet it doesn't taste good to me.  I do like fruit though and I usually make it my dessert now that I am non dairy and can't have ice cream though a local new market called Sprouts is carrying coconut ice cream which is non dairy and delicious.  I grew up in England during WWII and we were rationed so my mom always said " I'll never go without sugar again " now I am almost 82 and I don't ever buy white sugar, I get the cane juice that is so much more expensive but not as bad for you. My mom would be amazed the things that we have learned about our diet.  Now that I look back on our war time diet and it was pretty healthy.  We had fish, not much red meat,  lots of meat-free meals, veggies we grew in our own healthy soil.  We thought that we were deprived because we couldn't get all the butter and sugar we wanted.  We had chickens for eggs and meat and fish wasn't rationed, chocolate was though.  Strange how things do change if you live long enough which I begin to think that perhaps I have.

I have been investigating something new to me chorellafactor.com. It seems that

you can take this product and reduce the amount of protein that you eat. Now I

have lost 30 lbs due to intestinal problems and I need to gain at least 10 back.

So something that doesn't involve cooking sounds great to me and I think that I

will try it.

>That is the spread.... cottage cheese, flaxseed oil and honey. So Quark and

spread are the same thing? Anyway have taken to just eating it all 4oz quick

without anything. You would think something so good for us would be more

palatable.

I have taken to just putting a half cup of the spread in a bowl sprinkle oh

maybe 1/4 to 1/2 teas. vanilla on it and just spooning it down, not so bad.

Perhaps stevia od agave instead of honey. V
