Hi, Kel.That is what I'm doing now. For Candida, I'm taking Chinese herbs from a great doctor, Dr. Zhang, who does phone consults. He also has special herbs to suppress autoimmunity! I'm feeling a lot better. Take care,Amelia--- kellykebby wrote:"Kelly W." <kellykebby , ss-fhf Subject: good anti-inflammatory tipsMon, 2 Mar 2009 05:33:03 -0800 (PST)http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ART02012/anti-inflammatory-diet

That's wonderful Amelia. What herbs are they? I would be afraid that I would be allergic to them. Too afraid to probably even begin them. I was wondering, what is your daily diet like? I am trying to use portion control with no refined sugar, wheat, corn, chocolate, or milk. Now how hard is this? very hard, esp. on a budget. Kel

Kel, if there's an allergic person out there, believe me, that's me! I am allergic to everything! Yet, I can take the herbs. They are very mild to the system, yet effective. Plus, they actually make you less allergic, because they suppress the autoimmune activity, which is why we are so allergic in the first place. I take several ones, one is called Circulation P, another is AI #3 (for autoimmunity), Coptis (against Candida and bacteria). I would recommend that you visit Dr. Zhang's website and get his book on Lyme disease, which also describes the herbs. It's not really just for Lyme disease. My son (who has Lyme) is also on the program. But, the herbs are similar for Lyme and lupus, as well as other autoimmune conditions. I eat everything in moderation, but I avoid sugar too. I don't drink coffee or alcohol either. I don't eat chocolate or dairy or wheat because I'm allergic, but I hope to when I am better. I do eat corn in moderation. I eat a lot of fish, brown rice, veggies, fruits, oats, small amounts of meat and eggs.--- kellykebby wrote:"Kelly W." <kellykebby Subject: Re: good anti-inflammatory tipsMon, 2 Mar 2009 05:39:23 -0800 (PST)That's wonderful Amelia. Well, it sounds like you are doing wonderful things for yourself. I am forty now and so very tired of being sick. If the candida is not affecting me physically, then it's mentally. I guess I'm at the "this is it" stage. Something has to change. And for me, change is very hard. I will check out his site. Thanks! Kelly

You think you're old...I'm 53! And, also tired of feeling crappy and change is also VERY hard for me, but what I'm doing now feels right and it is easy. I also eat a lot of beans, no nuts 'cause of allergies still. I buy the rice, oats and beans in bulk and it is very cheap to do that. I do try to eat organic. I think you would do very well to start on the herbs at least the ones for autoimmunity and Candida (AI#3 and Coptis). You can even buy the herbs online without having had a consult with the doctor. --- kellykebby wrote:"Kelly W." <kellykebby Subject: Re: good anti-inflammatory tipsMon, 2 Mar 2009 06:02:56 -0800 (PST)Well, it sounds like you are doing wonderful things for yourself.
