Guest guest
This is an interesting group I joined this morning.---------- Forwarded message ----------Irene Francisco <meandmy2cats Oct 26, 2008 11:11 AMFwd: Thank you for your donationIan Francisco <IFrancisco, Jay Francisco <slakas, Loretta McNair <bluerett, Gina Harlan <ginaland I joined this group this morning and I've signed a number of their petitions, all of them health oriented or againt the FDA to which I've very much opposed as I hold them responsible for Dad's death because they took his supplement off the market when it had kept him cancer free for twenty years. I thought they were going to say which candidate is the better one for us but I guess the answer really is that neither one is going to help much. I had reached the point of not voting for the first time ever, I really haven't read anything that changes my mind about that. ---------- Forwarded message ----------Citizens for Health <Citizens Oct 26, 2008 10:26 AMThank you for your donationmeandmy2catsThank you for your donation of $15.00 to Citizens for Health. Guest guest
Irene, I'm sorry about your dad. Was the supplement B17, laetrile? About the election. I am poor so I figure it is best to vote for Obama. Plus he is more pro-environment and health care. He is naive in foreign affairs but I have the confidence that he can learn quickly. Guest guest
No, and it was my husband, the message I just copied was to my sons. My husband had surgery to remove a lymph node that had become cancerous from a squamous skin cancer on his cheek and those are not supposed to be deadly. The supplement was Japanese, a certain kind of mushroom that was imported and sold by Lane Labs called MGN 3 now they have the same thing I guess Noxylane 4 but while the other product was withdrawn his other lymph nodes blew up and the damned HMO was too slow getting him in for surgery and he died. I'm upset with them as well and have since transferred out and got supplemental insurance with AARP. I don't trust any of them anymore and I will take my chances with a good diet. I think what gave my husband twenty plus years of a happy retirement was the boost in his immune system that kept the cancer cells suppressed. I am convinced that you have to get that mostly from nutrition. I'm afraid he was addicted to sugar and I couldn't get him to give it up, so desserts, candy and soft drinks were probably his downfall. I'm diligent about my diet as now I have an intestinal problem that has interfered with the number of supplements that I take. I'm 81 and I have no arthritis, no pain and as far as I know nothing is creeping up on me. I wish I had more energy but that is probably because I spend too much time at the computer. (hehe) so today I have started using an exercycle every hour and will try to build up the wobbly legs that way. I just found a site Citizens for Health which I have joined and I mean to support them so that we can keep our freedom to use supplements if we choose and to stop the government from interfering in how we manage our health. Guest guest
Thank you for sharing that, Irene. I am addicted to sugar as well and I am having horrible withdrawal symptoms when I don't eat it. But I know it is for the best. I did not eat sugar for three days and lost six pounds. I am going to start again tomorrow with this diet of veggies and meat (paleolithic) low carb. Kudos to you for getting involved with the organization that wants to keep supplements available. This medical care system for chronic illnesses is absolutely horrid. Kelly
Guest guest
Kelly good luck on the weight loss. I weighed 130 lbs (at 5'1 " ) when my husband died. Then what with grief and my own miserable cooking and an undiagnosed dairy intolerance I lost 30 lbs. Now that I have made the switch to a dairy free kitchen I still have not gained back the weight because I stick to fish, fowl, fruit and veggies and a delicious bread I buy at the new Fresh & Easy store called Omega 3 bread. Being dairy free eliminates most dessert so that cuts out a lot of calories. My late husband was addicted to sugar also and he absolutely had to have it or you couldn't live with him so he did not eat a healthy diet and although his cancer was in remission for over twenty years it killed him when the FDA took his supplement off the market (grrrr) I may be repeating myself here and if so I'm sorry. Anyway do try to cut back on the sugar and try the unrefined sugar at Trader Joe, I think it's better for you. Irene On 10/26/08, Kelly W. <kellykebby wrote: Thank you for sharing that, Irene.
