Guest guest
Amelia, it's good to hear from you. Are you a vegan? My daughter is a vegan. I am not sure where one with lupus can get the best form of vitamin D. There has to be something that won't make you sick. I have had the malar rash a lot lately with pains in my chest especially after I eat sugar. So for two days I've had almost no sugar. I feel wierd, to say the least. I chew a multivitamin. I do not get the skin reaction with the sun, no matter, it is almost November here anyway. Have you done or considered a candida cleanse? Guest guest
Hi, Kel. No, I’m not a vegan; I eat meat sometimes, for the B12 and iron that I need so much. I don’t eat that much sugar, though I love complex carbs. I don’t get the malar rash, just migraines when I’m in the sun. I’ve come to think that I’m hypersensitive to Vitamin D itself, so I’m going to try very small amounts of cod liver oil. I’ll let you know how that works. Take care, Amelia On Behalf Of Kelly W. Guest guest
Isn't the best form of vit D manufactured by your own body when you have natural sunlight on the skin? Avoid burning and this may do it for you. All the best, Ray On Behalf Of Kelly W. Monday, October 20, 2008 8:20 PM Amelia Amelia, it's good to hear from you. Are you a vegan? My daughter is a vegan. Guest guest
Thanks, Ray. It is tricky for me because of the lupus. When I get sun, I get migraines. I am going to try very small amounts, like 5 minutes a day. Guest guest
If you have a juicer, a good juice to drink to support your body with inflammation (Lupus is inflammatory isn't it?) is 4-5 carrots 1-2 apples (your preference of breed, I usually have 1 sweet and 1 tart) 1 beet (include tops if not wilted) All organic of course Do this 1-2 times per day or more just balance with your Candida program because this does have some sugar from apples.
