question about antibiotic prescription

Hello, I have a question about antibiotics. I have had bronchitis for two weeks now. I figured, perhaps too soon, that it might not go away on its own so I went to the doctor today and she quickly prescribed me azithromycin. I haven't taken it yet. I would like everyone's opinion on this. I'd like to heal on my own. Kelly
