Guest guest
Hi, Kel. I might wait another week and see. They say garlic is a natural antibiotic, but I think it has to be raw... On Behalf Of Kelly W. Tuesday, February 27, 2007 7:57 PM question about antibiotic prescription Hello, I have a question about antibiotics. I have had bronchitis for two weeks now. I figured, perhaps too soon, that it might not go away on its own so I went to the doctor today and she quickly prescribed me azithromycin. I haven't taken it yet. I would like everyone's opinion on this. I'd like to heal on my own. Kelly
Guest guest
Good Morning all, I am a new member. Nice to meet everyone. Kelly, as Amelia said, garlic is indeed a natural antibiotic and yes you want to take it raw, Take a clove every hour up to 12 cloves a day. Gently crush it and swallow or chew if it you can:) Your overall diet is very important now as well, Incorporate as many raw fruits and veggies as you can, Stay clear of mucous forming dairy foods.Lemon is wonderful so maybe getting some fresh lemons and squeezing them into your water would be great, Stay hydrated! Also cayenne pepper is wonderful too, I love spicy so this works well for me and I even sprinkle alittle on top of my lemon water. How about making yourself a nice spicy broth with some pure water, garlic, onions and whatever other veggies you have on hand. There are also herbs out there that act as antibiotics along with build on the immune system such as echinachea, goldenseal, astralagus,,to name a few. The essential oil of eucalyptus would help to open anything up also if you are clogged. Of course this is my morning take on it, Here is a google page I just brought up but did not look into, Maybe you can find some better things here. Good luck and please feel better and get well soon Wishing everyone a beautiful day Hugs. Guest guest
Hi Kelly, What have you been doing for yourself so far? I have had Bronchitis many times. As soon as I feel it coming on, I increase my water to 1 gallon a day. ( About 3 cups of this water is a tea made from Red Clover which is a blood purifier and will help strengthen your immune system. I also take 10,000 MG of Vitamin C along with Echinacea and Golden Seal. Your food intake at this time should be very light soups, fresh juices (carrot ,celery and apple if you have a juicer). An evening meal could be a brown rice with about 5 cloves of chopped raw garlic. I am not a Doctor. These are just suggestions that have worked for me in the past while I am ill. However, if you are going to tackle it in a natural manner you must be aggressive and consistent in your treatment. Hope this helps. Be sure and get plenty of rest.
