Guest guest
Fox 2 News in Detroit has been running a story for a couple of days about a man who cured himself of prostate cancer using the Gerson Therapy. Below is the story taken from the website: www.fox2detroit.com Blessings, Renee Cancer Miracle Carrots...apples...wheatgrass. Can you combine these foods and create a cancer-beating cocktail? If you ask 67-year-old Bill Brazier, the answer is yes. After learning he had prostate cancer back in 1998, Bill made a tough choice: Against his doctor's advice, Bill chose to treat his cancer using what's called " Gerson Therapy. " According to its Web site, the Gerson Institute's plan includes a three-pronged approach to help the patient's body heal itself, through detoxification, natural supplements and a strict vegetarian diet with an emphasis on raw juice -- unpasteurized juice made from fresh organic produce. The idea is that by drinking the juice fresh, you do not lose any of the life-giving nutrients. Bill's specialty? Wheatgrass! For Bill, drinking juice became a way of life. And after 18 months on the Gerson program, his cancer was gone! Is that possible? Can this natural therapy actually cure cancer? We went to Beaumont Hospital to find out. Deborah Martz is a registered dietician at Beaumont, who specializes in treating cancer patients. Although she acknowledges the benefits of raw juicing, she says patients need to make sure they're not missing out on other important nutrients. Doctor William Spencer, a urologist at Beaumont, also expressed concerns over patients rejecting conventional treatment in favor of alternative methods -- which, he says, do not have medical science to back them up. Brazier is a believer in the power of holistic healing; and he's spreading the word, inspiring others to give it a try. Of course, Bill is convinced he made the right choice when it came to treating his prostate cancer. If you're undergoing treatment for any serious illness or disease, you should discuss any treatment changes with your doctor before making them. Guest guest
The dietician at Beaumont hospital gives good advice on balancing nutrition, but everytime I was in the hospital for chemo, I couldn't get anything close to a good diet! I didn't go to Beaumont. But I consulted with all the hospital's dieticians and nutritionists and no one could get me anything decent to eat for my health! They serve cancer causing garbage in the hospital! The comment by the urologist makes me angry. Of course alternative cancer therapies aren't given enough medical and scientific research and real studies. That wouldn't benefit the pharmaceutical companies! More studies should be done on these therapies that actually work! But we have lots of good research on drugs and chemicals that make us sick and create other problems that require more drugs or just kill us altogether! If I followed the advice of doctors who are ignorant to nutrition, I would be dead right now. I didn't have time to wait for scientific studies and research!!! This article gives us one more reason to say thank you to Amelia, our biggest promoter of the Gerson Therapy, who provides us with information, testimonies and links when we need them! Thanks Amelia! *hugs*Blessings, ReneeRenee Judkins <msfitnes01 wrote: Fox 2 News in Detroit has been running a story for a couple of days about a man who cured himself of prostate cancer using the Gerson Therapy. Guest guest
When I went to the Doctors office when I was going thorough a terrible exacerbation with MS, they were not getting back to me so I forced to do what this book said about fasting, it was my only choice and I wasn't quite ready to be bed red-in just yet. So I did the fasting within 12 hours I had incredible results by day 5 on the fast I was just about healed and that was the day that the doctors were able to see me (1 week later) I was so excited like I was the only one in the world that new about this and I WAS GOING TO HEAL EVERYONE!! I WAS EXCITED. So I went to my appointment hardly being able to hold my self down and they listen to my story for 45 MINUTES and then told me that there is NO scientific proof. Mind you this is a research hospital and they could of used me to do there scientific research, but choose not to. I try not to have a chip on my shoulder about this but where are they now, I never have been back, that has been 6 years, I spent 10's of thousands of dollars on all those needless tests and drugs. All I needed was good wholesome nutrients. I would hate to think were I would be now if I was still following there path. For the ones that are new to this group, if you would like to read my story go to www.ginakopera.com GinaRenee Judkins <msfitnes01 wrote: The dietician at Beaumont hospital gives good advice on balancing nutrition, but everytime I was in the hospital for chemo, I couldn't get anything close to a good diet!
