Guest guest
Hi all! You all have been quiet for a few days. I miss Kelly too and all her great info. I will start looking for all that good information to post. Anyone read any good books lately? This is my first book review! Feel free to add your book reviews too!The Yeast Connection Handbook by William G.Crook M.D. - This is a must have book, especially for those with candidiasis or auto-immune disease. Candida Albicans is the bad yeast in our systems (especially the colon) that causes all sorts of physical and mental illnesses, disorders and conditions. The book explains what yeast is, how it affects our health and how yeast overgrowth is diagnosed. It covers many illnesses specific to women, to men and to children and how they are related to yeast. It makes recommendations for dietary and nutritional modifications and other therapies including alternative therapies. The book has quite a few good sugar free, yeast free recipes too. Some of the recipes are for meat, others contain whole grains and gluten. The recipes you can use depends on what diet you are eating and for what conditions. You may find, though, that correcting the condition of yeast overgrowth will also correct many other conditions you may think are caused by something else. It is likely that you will find those other conditions covered in this book! Overall, this is a great book. I've had it and used it for many years. My initial interest in it was to help my autistic son. I have found it to be an invaluable resource.I decided to try this new text option on our post. How do you like it? Upon looking at the post preview, I'm not sure if I like it or not! Maybe it's just my choice of colors that isn't so good!Blessings, Renee
