Guest guest
Hi, I would like to know your opinion of a good Lupus cookbook. Also, what to stay away from? I already know a few things, but would like to hear from you all too. Is there anyone who does the gluten free diet? Has this helped you? Any helps would be very much appreciated. Guest guest
Jaymie, the things that bother my lupus are: supplements!, caffeine, meat, and refined sugars. I do better without wheat and dairy too, but those are hard for me! I have found that the best foods to eat are natural and preferrably, organic, emphasizing fruits, vegetables, brown rice, oats, and wild salmon, which doesn't have much mercury at all and is full of lupus-friendly omega 3's. Good luck and happy 2006! Amelia On Behalf Of christmas2911Sent: Wednesday, January 04, 2006 11:04 AM Subject: Good Lupus Cookbook Hi,I would like to know your opinion of a good Lupus cookbook. Guest guest
Yes, I stayed away from wheat/gluten for several years. I always wonder if it is grown from the ground how is bad for you? Dr. Christopher said if your intolerant to something that means you need more, contd understand that either. Now I understand. Dr Schulzes is who I have loved to follow and he always said that you can have a fudiscle at 15 years old, turkey sandwich at 10 and it can still be stuck in your colon and I always found that hard to believe until I did a 37 day fast and flushes. The #2 formula grabs everything off the colon walls then you will expel it. When i was on the fast 37 fast from day 16 to day 37 I had 14 ft worth of black gunk come out of me (Graphic sorry) when I started eating again I had bread items NO problem and still no problems once all that heavy stuck stuff was UN glued from my walls my body can now absorb the nutrients that I desperately needed. When I got off the fast I was eating bread and I continued to heal that is when I realized how badly I needed that. Guest guest
Go to www.herbdoc.com . For the colon you need 1 and 2 and if you order it ask for his colon book so you can understand more. After you try it and if you like it and once will not be enough you will need more, I can tell you how to make it and it will save a bunch. Guest guest
Hi Jaymie, the things that cause me inflammation are red meat, sugar, wheat and corn, esp. processed wheat with lots of gluten like pizza, and many milk products. On a no sugar no wheat and no corn diet I often feel no inflammation. I believe when you take in certain cooked or processed proteins they are damaged. The cell has receptor sites for proteins but when these types of proteins try to fit into the receptors they actually change the shape of the cell and the immune system thinks the cell is foreign. So raw and unprocessed foods are best.In Tribal communities where there are no American type illnesses like lupus, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, when wheat and corn are introduced into the diet, these illnesses show up. Wheat and corn cause inflammation naturally. Omega 6 fatty acids like those in wheat and corn are too prevalent in America. Anyone with lupus needs to introduce as many Omega 3 fatty acids and Omega 3 fatty acid precursors into the diet, like salmon, walnuts, flax seed oil, other fatty fish and I believe in millet as well. You will feel a marked change in how you feel. I get organic yogurt and put Barlean's flax seed oil in it. All this said, I know it is so hard to stay away from bad foods in this country. I wish everyone the best of luck. Kel

Guest guest
Fasting is the most wonderful thing I have experienced in my life with exception to having my child. Once someone does it, you will not want to live without it, there is so much healing power in a fast, its unbelievable. Your just drink your food instead of eating it and it is very filling. You know what is really weird, I like to cook but when I am on a fast I like to cook even more for my family it gives me great pleasure. Check out my fasting journal on my website to get a taste ( no Punt intended) of what it is like www.ginakopera.com Sincerely Gina"Kelly W." <kellykebby wrote: HI Gina, I would like to do a fast like that but it sounds scary. Guest guest
HI, If I had some symptoms return when I am on a fast there much more mild then the symptoms actually were before. This time when I started this fast I took a nap the first two day, not like to take naps but havent since. The healing that is going on is unbelieveable so if you were to a have a old symptoms pass by that is what it does just passes by for a very short time. I have very few negetive things that will happen in a fast and it last for such a short moment that it is no big deal. Symptoms that have came back for me are the milder symtoms, example: I have never lost my eyesight on a fast. Guest guest
HI all, I agree with Gina 100%! There is nothing like a good juice fast. I am getting ready to start one tomorrow! I've been to the grocery store and I am ready! You can fast for 1 day, 3, 5 or 7 days depending on your goal. I would recommend a good juice fast several times a year, especially for the purpose of detoxifying. I am so looking forward to going to Gina's website and checking out her fasting journal. Variety is the spice of life, even when it comes to fasting! You know what is really weird, I like to cook but when I am on a fast I like to cook even more for my family it gives me great pleasure. Guest guest
I agree too and would like to add that the best complement to a juice fast is a coffee enema. I know it sounds weird to a lot of people who may not be familiar with the benefits and detoxifying effects it has, but if you'd like more info, let me know. This is based on the Gerson Therapy (www.gerson.org). Amelia On Behalf Of Renee JudkinsMonday, January 09, 2006 12:46 PM Subject: Re: Good Lupus Cookbook HI all,I agree with Gina 100%!
