Guest guest
Even though " bipolar " is essentially a spiritual problem which can be handled that way, there are some basic nutritional helps. The first is B vitamins, which every unstable individual should have on hand (that includes me). The other is a little odd. It is lithium as a mineral nutrient. Based on my own observations, research, and experience, lithium works best when it is in a liquid form, suspended in water. Of course the classic lithium carbonate medication is too harsh, causes several side effects, and does not always work. But i had very good experiences, and have known others who had good results, with what is known as Lithia Water. This is simply a solution containing lithium that is added to ordinary water. It makes the water taste a little odd. I found that it should be used both when feeling up or down, but never when feeling normal. I have not used this in a long time. I found a spiritual handling for the problem, and that works better and more consistently. Not perfectly, but i'm not perfect, so it all fits for now. Guest guest
Can you please enlighten me on the following statement, regarding the avoidance especially of St.Johns Wort. I have read conflicting reports regarding this herb: <<<<<< I have bipolar, and , through my own research, learned of possible diets and herbs that may help (omega 3 was suggested by NIMH, flax seed oil) and what to avoid (cafeen, ibprofen,St Johns Wort).>>>> Thanking you, Jocelyne
Guest guest
Dear OM, Welllllllllllllllllll, I could probably type on this one for the rest of the night, but I've got to git to bed. You hit the nail on the head when you said "supposedly treat our disorders . . . ". I even disagree that the condition "Bipolar" exists, same with ADD and ADHD. These are figments of the imagination of Psychiatry. THESE ARE CREATED DISORDERS, AND PHARMACEUTICALS ARE ALSO LARGELY TO BLAME. I know, I know, whatever your symtoms are, they are very real to you and I'd not dispute that whatever somatics and emotions you are experiencing are what you are truly feeling, but we need to get down to basics here and get down to root "CAUSE". I don't really want to get into this on the list in a big way, cause I just don't have the time (right now), but you are totally welcome to call me for a free consultation Mon thru Fri, 10AM to 4PM mountain time. When we are done, I'm sure you'll fully understand why these "disorders" are bogus. When dr's started saying they had pills for the behaviors that are difficult to control parents were happy to have an easy out. We LET a lot of things happen to us for the sake of it being easier, this is one of them. Lynnette p.s. Sometimes teachers are also in the "let's drug 'em" loop too. Guest guest
I was diagnosed with bipolar back in the `70s and the doctors put me on Valium. I told them that I couldn't take care of my husband and kids, not to mention myself on that. The doctors recommended I give my children up so I could just focus on me. Well, I didn't. And I stopped taking Valium and I didn't go back to the doctors either. If that was their solutions, I would research myself. It took about 20 years, and I finally found the right program for me. A combination of seasonal cleansing (total body), a mainly vegetarian diet, exercise, meditations, some herbs, and other things….it wasn't only one thing. And if anyone thinks just herbs can do it, they are wrong. For me, it was getting my body balanced. While I was predisposed to it, it wasn't until my ex hit me in the neck and damaged my thyroid that the bipolarism showed up. It took years to figure out the majority of my triggers. Last year, after 10 years symptom free, someone said but you have changed so much, you probably didn't have bipolar, and then six months ago, my daughter said the same thing. After the first person said that, it did get me to wondering, so I have been on a yearlong " research project " . No herbs, no cleansing, not much exercise, no meditation, the " old " diet…….and I can tell you, it came back full force. It did take about 6 months for it to manifest, but manifest it did. So, now that I know, on March 20, I will be starting my program again. And I do look forward to it. I don't like this " me " ; I want my improved me back again. By the way, Vit. B complex was one of the things to help with the depression in me. It does help to lift it, in my opinion. I would also like to know where to get that lithia water you were talking about. So, for me, Cleansings were the thing that really turned it all around, and brought me up out of the hell I was in mentally. And combined together, they do help me. I think it is not only the cleansings, but also finding out your body's " weak " area. In me, it was the thyroid and being brought up on the " standard american diet " . Oh, and it took two years of the program before I was stable. I got better the whole time, but I guess you could say, I had finally reached my " level " and then stayed there for 10 years before this year of research. So, now the year is almost up, and I can look forwards to being who I really am. Doc, looking forwards to your article. Lynques

Herbs was just a convenient start on what has become a holistic path to health. om herbal remedies, " lynques " <wtchdktr@s...> wrote: > I was diagnosed with bipolar back in the `70s and the doctors put me > on Valium. Guest guest
In a message dated 10/20/2005 2:32:36 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, writes: Hi everyone, I hope that you are all doing great. I have a question that is kinda broad. Does anyone know of anything Natural to help bi-polar people? My husband is bi-polar and adhd, and I know that Renee sells the stuff for the adhd, but what about bi-polar? Is there a book on diets for bi-polar people? Help if any of you know. I am in way over my head and it is very hard. Thanks a bunch!!! It is believed that one of the components of Bipolar disease, as well as ADHD, is hormone imbalance. I use magnetic technology for FMS, but I know several people who are using it for Bipolar type diseases, and ADHD, including my son. My son has always had ADHD, but we never had it treated, because I didn't want him drugged, and I didn't want him using it as a crutch. I had tried to get him to use the technology, but he thought it was hokey. One evening, when he was in college, he came home from a soccer game, and he had been injured. Soccer was his life, and he played 4 - 6 times per week. He would give up anything for soccer. He had done a bicycle kick, where the body is almost totally upside down, and someone had hit him in the back. When he came home, he was hardly walking. Well, the thought that he might not be able to play caused him to resort to desperate measures. Without my knowledge, he went and got a pair of my magnetic insoles, and cut them, and put them in his shoes. He got a magnetic mattress pad and put it on his bed, and he put a magnetic disc and put it on his back. We were at his game the next night, and we noticed that he was faster, and his kicks on goal were harder. I commented, and he never said anything. What really made me take notice, was that he started getting hugely improved test scores in his classes. He finally owned up to how he "treated himself", and said that he was able to pay better attention in class. I asked him questions, and one thing that seemed to make a difference, was that he was sleeping more soundly and deeply. I could relate to that, because that is one of the things that helped my FMS, also partially hormone related. The interesting thing, is that when a person gets into a deep stage 3 and 4 sleep, that is where the hormone release and regulation takes place. I have another friend who has been medicated for years, for depression, and he was able to get off all of his medication by using the technology. It is just something to consider.
