Guest guest
Thank you for those sites. You are quite nurturing aren't you? Raychel is 13 now and her mom has been gone two years but she cries about it most nights still...I am so happy for her that she will probably go with people who have known her from birth in Pittsburgh. She's a sweet girl. I am 37 now and noticing how different my face is, poor me. And my body, metabolism, etc. Seems like 7 years just flew past. That's what happens when you have kids. I would like to travel to Ca someday. Take care, Kel
Guest guest
Hi Amelia, As I was looking back through the posts, it seems Dan has covered all the bases on ascorbates. He is so full of great information. I always love to read his opinions and views based on his education and experience. He is very knowledgable. I'm with Kel, too. I would love to hear how your appointment with the orthomolecular psychiatrist turns out. That would be something I might like to do too, if it works out good for you. The only thing is I don't have medical insurance! I'm saving up my $85 right now to go see my radiation oncologist for my 6 month check up. I was supposed to go in September! Shame on me! Guest guest
Renee, I know what you mean about the high cost of taking care of yourself! We are going broke here with all the medical bills, vitamins, etc.! I'll definitely let you all know how it goes with the doctor I'm seeing. She says she thinks part of the reason for my depression (besides the lupus and the stresses associated with having a 17-year-old boy!) is that my serotonin levels are probably too low. She thinks I need to take SAM-e, fish oil tablets, B vitamins, etc. but she'll know more after we do the testing. Guest guest
Hi Amelia, Baked potatoes are good for producing seratonin, as is dark chocolate in small amounts. Keep in mind that potatoes (and chocolate) have a very high glycemic index. So you have to balance the "sugars". Potatoes are also high in vitamin C and potassium, so they are healthy, despite the high glycemic index.
