Guest guest
HI Kel, I saw that show yesterday. It was a good show. It interested me because of the 11 years my own son was on Ritalin. I hope everyone else had a chance to see it or can at least go to the Dr. Phil show website and read about it. I haven't been here much lately (again) because I have been suffering some depression and have been busy with the start of the school year, although my work hours have dropped dramatically with the end of our fiscal year. Tuesday, Sept. 27th, was the 4 year anniversary of my cancer diagnosis. I think that has something to do with my current temporary depression. I was diagnosed 2 weeks after the 9/11 terrorist attacks too. It was just a really bad September for me in 2001. Also, yesterday, Sept. 28th, would have been my 14th wedding anniversary, if I were still married. And my fiance has spent most of the summer riding with the motorcycle club and just hasn't been here much for me or our daughter lately. That will change soon too, although those guys are hardcore and ride all winter through the Michigan snow! Just not as much as in the summer though. So as I am struggling to get my head back together here (my recent studies of earth based religions is really helping alot), I will get back here with you and all the rest of my "on-line family"! If anyone needs me and I'm not on line, you all know how to find me. Go to my website, get my phone number and call me! The couple of people from my on line family who have called me recently, have really helped with the depression too. Thanks, you guys! Take care Kel. I will be back here soon! Guest guest
Hi, Renee. I hope you feel better really soon. My son (17) was just diagnosed with ADD. Is there anything natural he could take instead of Ritalin to help his condition? Guest guest
Hi Amelia, Thanks for the inspiration! I have been helping kids get off ADD drugs for 8 yrs., since I got my own son off Ritalin after 11 yrs. It would take awhile to tell you of the tremendous progress he made both at home and at school after that. My autistic son now goes out and talks to doctors, teachers, parents, etc., about getting kids off ADD drugs and on nutrition. Pretty impressive for an autistic young man! I took Jason off Ritalin under the advice and recommendation of my friend, Dr. Silva, Ph.D., who has 2 doctrates in nutrition. She developed a protocol of First Fitness products for ADD. She uses it everyday in her clinic in South Lake, Texas. She has made over 9 million dollars as a First Fitness distributor, so she must be doing something right! She also advised me on my cancer nutrition, not only with the products, but oxygenating, juicing, macrobiotics, etc. She played a big part in saving my life! As always, if you would like to try this protocol, I will give you my entire 40% distributor discount! That's why I haven't made my first million yet! I am a nurturer not n entrepenuer!!! I focus on helping and healing rather than making money! You can find the products on my website: www.firstfitness.com/thin4life. Here is the protocol: First Fitness A.D.D. Protocol Biomega 3 oz. At breakfast Vital Green 1 at breakfast, 1 at bedtime Body FX 1 shake for breakfast 6 hour time released perfect nutrition Kids under 80 lbs: Fit to a Tea - daily Kids over 80 lbs: Reneu - 1 at bedtime Bionic Tonic - 1 oz. daily Also, eliminate all sugars from your son's diet and glutens, all red dyes (probably all dyes), and all preservatives. Make sure he gets enough sleep at night and drinks plenty of water. Juicing may also help. Teenagers tend to sleep alot more hours or later into the day. This is not because they have become lazy or stay up late playing video games! It is a because of the changes occurring in a teenage body as well as in their minds! They are developing hormonally and maturing emotionally, so they require that extra sleep. And with ADD, it is even more important that they get sufficient sleep. Please feel free to call me anytime, also. My number is on the website. And with my insomnia, you can usually catch me at most hours of the day or night!!! Let me know what you think of the protocol, even if you choose not to try it. OH - and I have a few good books on ADD nutrition. I will find them and post their titles and authors so you can check them out, either later today or tomorrow morning. Take care, Amelia. Guest guest
Thanks so much, Renee! I will take a look at the products and the website later today. Now I have to go to my harp lesson (my favorite hour of the week!) My only challenge will be to get him to want to try the products! He is so stubborn and for some reason, is embarrassed to have the condition. He is definitely in denial, which is sad, because he is also really ambitious. It's only this year that he has gotten really bad. He always had it, but was able to keep his grades up. In fact, up until the end of his junior year (he is a senior now) he was first in his class! It breaks my heart that he is having all these difficulties now and his grades are suffering because he would really love to be admitted at an Ivy League college and major in engineering. Big ambitions for a guy with ADD! Anyway, thanks again and I'll probably call you sometime soon. Guest guest
Wow, you play the harp! My fiance is a music teacher, with his own music store. He has always wanted to get a harp! And my 12 year old daughter has always wanted to play. In fact she got my fiance a wind chime of an angel playing a harp, which he has in his store! She plays violin and cello and I play violin, somewhat! My 5 yr old is like her daddy, she'll play music on anything that will make music, even a couple of sticks banged together! She composes her own tunes and writes her own lyrics! She's destined for musical greatness!! Tell your son that no one has to know he has ADD. There isn't a neon sign on his forehead or anything. No one has to know he is taking the products either, as this can be done in the privacy of his own home. J played football for 6 years and he shouted BODY FX shakes to his whole team. Perfect football practice nutrition! Since your son is 17 and Jason, although 22, is more like 17 because of the autism, maybe he would like to talk to Jason on the phone (or perhaps IM on the computer. J is into that!). Maybe he could relate better to someone close to his own age who has had the same struggles with the same disorder and who has used both the Ritalin and the nutrition. J could tell him of the differences in his moods, state of mind, ability to concentrate and focus, etc., with the drugs, then with the nutrition. And Jason would love the opportunity to help yet another kid avoid using ADD drugs. Just food for thought. Have a great harp lesson (my family will be so envious! lol!). And I'll get those books out for you, if I ever get off this computer, which I planned to do over an hour ago. I just love you guys so much that I can't leave once I get on here! Take care!
