Guest guest
Candida is more and more linked with lupus I think because it is a one-celled organism so it can attach to the cell ( some even say mimic dna) making it look foreign to the immune system, perhaps enough to attack it. When I cut out wheat and sugar which feed the bad bacteria and fungi my lupus symptoms go way down. Also probiotics help to get rid of these two too. Women who have had more than one pregnancy are more prone to systemic candida...and lupus. Estrogen is a growth stimulator for candida. When I avoid foods that increase estrogen like animal fats, milk, chocolate, soy (wheat also has xenoestrogens I believe) my lupus symptoms go down. When I eat walnuts and flax oil mixed with yogurt (sort of like the Budwig Diet) my symptoms go down (omega 3s). It is hard I know. I'm glad for these lists. Take care, Kel
