Hello,

"For those of us who don't know much about Jow, can you give us some guidance on its use? I know it's a topical ointment, but is it best used after a shower, overnight, wrapped/unwrapped?"The only benefit to being showered before applying it is that you wouldn't wash it off when you took a shower soon after. It's effectiveness would not be diminished if you were unshowered, but one could make an argument for a hot shower opening up the skin a bit more, but that's really not going to increase effectiveness on a noticeable level. It is generally applied BEFORE and AFTER training. You apply it before and it helps protect you from injury when you know that you will be engaging in some type of contact (or on the joints if you know you will be working them hard and want to use it to strengthen tendons and ligaments in the knees or the like). Then following training you would want to get all cleaned up and apply it once again. If there is a SPECIFIC injury which

you are treating, then you would want to apply it several times a day as well. A little goes a long way. Pour a little on your finger tips and massage it in until the jow is gone. Then apply more. Do this for about 15 minutes at a time, but if there is a severe injury then perhaps 20. For severe injuries you can wrap the injury in a soaked (and covered) cloth, or even soak it IN the jow (though the latter is rarely done, i have heard of it's successes in extreme cases)."What can it help accomplish, other than relieving muscle soreness?" Relieving muscle soreness is perhaps the most run of the mill thing it can help with. What the jow is doing is essentially transmitting and fusing the healing properties of the herbs and ingredients of the jow directly into a localized region. The advantage of this is double, in that for one you are by passing the digestive system and two, you are focusing the herbal properties directly where the injury is at. One could think of it

almost as if there was a topical form of bromeline that you could put on a swollen ankle instead of eating a pineapple and having most of the bromeline lost in digestion and distributed to other parts of the body other than the region where it is most needed. The high alcohol content helps it soak directly in through the skin. This is why the aging is important for the herbal properties to transfuse with the alcohol through and through. This is also why you do not want the "watered down" jow of people who give you second and third pressings of the herbs, or first pressings mixed with additional alcohol which has not been soaking the herbs and other ingredients."You mentioned using it for Iron Arms training - is this just to relieve bruising/soreness?"The advantage is that it speeds recovery, rushes nutrients and the healing properties of the herbs to the specifically effected region of the body being trained. Various ingredients also fortify the effected

region, making it stronger each subsequent time. Honestly, it is very difficult for me to bruise on my hands or forearms no matter how hard i train due to using jow for so many years. As well, when i train with people they often comment on how hard my blocks are, whilst my method of blocking is extremely internal and relaxed, not exerted and tense. "Also, what's the advantage of the "hot" version?"It contains more intense and very yang ingredients. It "feels" a little bit hotter, but it is not like "Icy Hot" or "Ben Gay." The term "hot" is more of a Traditional Chinese Medicinal term rather than a description of burning on the skin. Whilst there IS some benefit to that sort of thing, MANY jow will be made with capsicum and the like just to make it FEEL hot so you feel like you are getting an effective jow, but in reality they are often no better than a Chinese version of Ben Gay. The "heat" of this formula is REAL energetic heat, which will effect your internal yang

energy. Whilst this is not the ultimate point of jow per se, there are hot formulas that in some cases are used to intensify fortification, and healing, but these are generally not recommended for regions over the internal organs. Instead "cooler" jow are used for that.It should also be noted that some jow are made without heating the herbs (thus releasing some internal properties immediately), and some are not. Hotter jow is usually made in this manner, as is this one.

available!Hello,The dit da jow i've been aging is now ready and will be shipped assoonas orders are received.Sizes come in wee, not so wee and frickin' huge! Okay old SaturdayNightLive joke with Mike Myers... The Scottish store, etc... Funny stuff... Hello? Is this thing on?Anyway, small is the standard size you find on websites which isusuallyin empty hot sauce containers, just shy of 2 ounces. A lot of the timethis is $12, sometimes i've seen $10. i'll charge $9.99 just to be the lowest i've seen. The "not so small" size is about 4 ounces, maybe a bit more. Bear inmind that you are not using a ton of this stuff when you use it, so alittle goes a long way. It is $15 a bottle. The "medium" 16 ounce size (about 500 ml), is $49.99. Buying at thatsize saves you $10 from buying smaller sizes in equivalent amount. So, basically, the cheapest i can go whilst recouping the cost of the

herbs and the alcohol is as follows:Small: $9.99Not so Small: $14.99Medium $49.99Large: $299.99 (a $50 savings)For the super hot jow the price will naturally have to be a bit moresince this requires some rare (and in some cases... difficult to find) ingredients. i would say the prices as follows should help me recouptheexpenses:Small: $14.99Not So Small: $18.99Medium $64.99Large: $399.99 (a $55 savings)Trust me, this is BARELY turning a profit. This is really barely over cost if you figure how much the herbs and a gallon of 50% grainalcoholvodka costs (for the normal jow), and 95% (for the super hot jow). Sowhile the price of course may seem intimidating, you will NOT find a cheaper jow of this quality. You may not even find a cheaper jow. ihaven't, but i don't want to say for sure that you couldn't find itanywhere. But for certain you would not find this high quality of

jow, probably for ANY price available for public purchase. The medium size is basically an old Shou Wu Chih bottle full, whichis ahuge amount of jow since you are barely using any when you apply it.The largest size is basically a whole batch brewed and aged just for you. The medium is huge and would last for an insanely long time. Thelarge size is more for Lei Tai full contact fighters or peopleinterested in SERIOUS development of Iron palm/Iron body. ALL of thisjow is "Iron" in "grade" and is not your run of the mill poor quality jow.i will also be making available a weaker jow from the second pressingofthe herbs, for general use anywhere or in higher amounts if you sodesire. This would come in handy for use throughout the day if you trainseveral times a day. This way you could put some on before and aftereach training session several times a day, or whenever you feel a bitsore from all that "gung."

That would be about the equivalent of what you generally find online in terms of jow. What i have available nowisthe premium grade stuff, and generally is only given by a Shifu to hisdisciples alone. i can't stress enough that you will not find anything this good online. You can order via Pay Pal to Mikhah@g...Or if for some reason you don't have access to Pay Pal then you cansenda Money Order to "Mikhah" at:1232 W.Kemper Rd. #107 Cincinnati, OH 45240Thanks,Mikhah
