Guest guest
Any non sugar, non chocolate, non caffeine day,and non-wheat day, is a GOOD day for my autoimmune symptoms. Here is a good example of a diet that tones down my allergies or lupus. breakfast : one slice of millet bread, some low sugar jam, one egg over easy (free range hens) snack: apple or carrots and peanut butter (preferrably non-hydrogenated oils) lunch: salad with cheese or chicken and walnuts (hopefully no or very little dressing) fruit for a snack, I love pineapple! but it's expensive or almonds or walnuts dinner: brown rice or salmon with veggies. I love broccoli, my daughter loves spinach cooked, bleccch! snack, organic yogurt (called Yo Baby (made for babies with a tadbit of sugar)). I put flax seed oil in it (Budwig diet). You can get good flax seed oil from Barlean's online. If I am really good to myself I juice carrots and spinach! I feel GREAT when I do. I used to drink a lot of orange juice but I know even this can add weight and it spikes blood sugar, so I have tried to cut down on orange juice. I am trying to minimize wheat until it's out of my diet completely. It is a KNOWN inflammatory agent regardless of what illness you may have. I wish I could eat like the above all the time. I would eat veggies veggies veggies as raw as possible! Take care, Kel
