Guest guest
HI Kathy, I had ulcerative colitis and proctitis in my teens and early twenties. I was given sulphasalazine at 23 and the bleeding went into remission. I still have pain, diarrhea, and constipation. I am looking into candida as a cause and recommend the Specific Carbohydrate Diet by Gottshall (sp?), this helps me. Also milk makes it worse. I think probiotics are a must but you need to change the ph of your bowel using diet (greens, steamed brocolli, calcium, and magnesium, etc), before the probiotics can take hold in the bowel. I want to fight the candida using a rotation protocol - 4 days of pau d' arco, 4 days of grapefruitseed extract, 4 of coconut oil, 4 of garlic, 4 of biotin, but I have lupus as well and am afraid of a die-off reaction which will involve my immune system. Welcome to the group! Welcome to all the new people!. Kelly
