Guest guest
HI Bre, I would start with juiced spinach and carrots. You need the live enzymes and minerals in this. Below someone wrote to you about supreme greens. There are many different things in this product so if you have allergies you might be allergic to one of them. Instead you could just by a barley green product which is barley grass powder. You can mix it in with v8 juice or water. I know the way to fight diseases is to get raw veggie juices in your body. If you don't have a juicer try a blender at first. This will help you break down the veggies to absorb them. Don't eat refined carbs. They feed the microorganisms in our bodies like candida and in your case the lyme. There is a diet that might help called the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. The veggies have glutathione - a major antioxidant that reduces inflammation. Selenium is needed by the body to produce its own glutathione. Take a selenium supplement. To fight inflammation stay away from Wheat, corn, processed foods, oils except olive and coconut, and refined sugar. Try to get omega 3 fatty acids instead of 6. Walnuts, salmon, fatty fish, flaxseed oil, millet, all contain omega 3s or omega 3 precursors. There are probably some other seed or nut oils that are ok too though, like sesame. You need the greens girl ! the spinach, green leaf lettuce, broccoli. We all do. It is so hard to change your diet esp if you have little money though. Maybe you can do it gradually. Try to get v8 juice. The key is to detox but not to get sick detoxing... so go slow. Look up the Gerson therapy and the Budwig diet. Love ya~` Please write in to tell how you are doing! Guest guest
Hi, Kel and everyone. You had asked me to update you on my situation. As you know, I've been doing Gerson (5 months now!) It's been full of ups and downs for me. My fibromyalgia is a lot better, but the lupus has caused a lot of "healing reactions", which are normal, expected, and a good sign, but don't feel good when they're happening. When that happens, I get migraines and pains in my body, as well as fatigue. It is different for everyone, so don't let that scare anyone, plus I would feel bad with lupus anyway. At least now, I know I'm on my way to getting well. (I'm doing 9 juices a day now) If anyone wants to talk more about the therapy, you can e-mail me on this group or privately. Blessings and gentle hugs, Amelia sentto-12621366-721-1107215499-ameliagerlach=hotsheet.com [sentto-12621366-721-1107215499-ameliagerlach=hotsheet.com] On Behalf Of Kelly WortkoetterMonday, January 31, 2005 6:52 PM Subject: Re: Help Kel! Guest guest
Hi AMelia, although I feel much better when I juice I am afraid of the eventual healing crises. I must start slow. Guest guest
most days are good, better than before. Only once in a while there is a healing crisis. Don't let that discourage you; just increase slowly with the juices. Something that really helps relieve the symptoms of the healing crisis is the enemas. Without that, I would never do the juicing!! sentto-12621366-724-1107275345-ameliagerlach=hotsheet.com [sentto-12621366-724-1107275345-ameliagerlach=hotsheet.com] On Behalf Of Kelly WortkoetterTuesday, February 01, 2005 11:29 AM Subject: RE: Help Kel! Nancy_birkner. I will start on this as soon as I get my grant and can afford the juicer. All advice is appreciated.
