Hi...

I am a new member in this group and have found interesting articles

here.

I would like to know if you could help me. My husband is having

difficulty stopping smoking and drinking coffee. Because of this

his blood pressure is always high and he has to take medicines for

it. These medicines has other side effects and I want him to get rid

of it soon. What natural foods can be used to discourage drinking

coffee and smoking? He would not take any herbal remedies so I want

to know what I could put in my cooking without him knowing it.

thanks,

Agnes

Hi, Agnes and welcome to the group. You might want to look into the Gerson Therapy (or a modified version of it) for your husband. Many people have healed themselves of cancer, lupus, epilepsy, etc. with this and it is very effective in combating addictions of all sorts, with very few withdrawal symptoms. If you want more info, go to www.gerson.org and I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have too. It's worth checking into, I think. Best of luck! Take care, Amelia

Hi Agnes, along with the Gerson Therapy, you can look into a ten step program by Doctor Day, who eliminated her breast cancer with it. The diet is a lot like in the Gerson Therapy, but more seeds and nuts I think. Apparently with these diets, the body eventually rights itself so no more medication of any kind is needed. It is scary to think of getting off a drug that a doctor gives you, but the thing is is that these drugs are poison, and toxic, and do not heal ever. Yet the medical establishment keeps searching for a cure all, like the pharmaceutical companies are gods. And the pharmaceutical companies search to market synthetic drugs, for ...MONEY. Nature is here to heal us. For example, the bark from the Chinchona tree of South America is used to help people with lupus. In America, they marketed a drug with a similar molecular structure to this bark and called it hydroxychloroquine or plaquenil. Dr. Day's video is called "You Can't Improve on God". I would recommend

it to everyone.

Agnes, garlic and cilantro are good chelaters of toxins. Does your husband like these? And oregano is good for him. I think most spices are good for you and add minerals and vitamins. I'm not sure what herbs would be good for cigarette cravings but you said he wouldn't eat them anyway unless they somehow made them into his food. Caffeine and cigarettes affect the serotonin in the brain so you might want to keep his diet to one which will help the serotonin not drop, ie, avoid sugars and simple carbs. I think if you do this, his other cravings will lessen. There are lots of things to research like the anticandida diet and Atkins (but with more veggies) (I mentioned these because I'm not sure your husband would want to go on the Gerson diet or Dr. Day's meatless diet) , and there is a book called "Potatoes not Prozac" that addresses this serotonin issue in diet. There are so many simple carbs in America's diet now and this has contributed to the use of

antidepressants because serotonin fluctuates so badly on the sad Standard American Diet.

Take care, Kel
