kicksugar From: "Irene" Wed, 2 Jun 2004 09:12:37 -0400 (EDT)[kicksugar] New Here - Why No-Grain, No-Sugar DietI'm new here, and I'll try to the best of my ability to explain why I believe in No-Grain, No-Sugar lifestyle and how I decided that I had to change my eating patterns. I've had health problems for 30 years that doctors could not explain or do anything about other than prescribe another pill. I was actually told when I was 20 that I was hypoglycemic, but no one explained to me that this was a dangerous condition. In fact, I was told to always keep a candy bar in my purse, and if I felt faint, to eat it. It would increase my blood sugar and I shouldn't black out anymore. I took this recommendation to mean that I should eat more sugar. This actually started my sugar

addiction. I suffered from fatigue, joint pains, muscle soreness, headaches, dizziness, thyroid problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, overweight, allergies, and possibly even mini strokes (a couple of trips to ER, to be told they didn't know why BP was high with symptoms of heart attack - I was not having heart attack - go home). So I started on a path to discover what was causing my illnesses and how to cure them. I was tired to hearing "take another pill". The best discovery during this time was Dr. Mercola's website (www.mercola.com). He has a great site. I spent days during searches on my symptoms. Everything indicated if I would stop consuming sugar, but also grains, my health would improve. I am happy to report I've been doing this approach for over six months, I feel like a new person. My blood pressure is normal (no more BP meds), my cholesterol has improved (HDL is now in normal range - 1st time in 30 yrs.),

LDL is still high so still working on that, lost 40 pounds, no more joint pains, muscle soreness, headaches, allergies (took allergies pills daily for the last ten years-not anymore). The energy I have now is unbelievable. I can go outside and work in my flower gardens all day now even when the temps are in the 80s. Last year, I did well if I could work in the garden more than an hour even on a cool day. I'm also sleeping so much better. I feel totally rested in the morning and excited about facing another day. I feel that controlling insulin levels is one the most important things you can to to optimize your health, and avoiding sugar is essential to accomplishing this goal. Don't wait 30 years like I did -- save yourself from many years of suffering. You can also reverse a lot of your health problems by following the No-Grain, No-Sugar program. It's never too late! Cutting out grains and sugar from your diet is one the most

critical steps you can take to maintaining healthy insulin levels. Please take charge of your health today, don't wait for the doctor to tell you that you have heart disease, diabetic, etc. Irene_____________No banners. No pop-ups. No kidding.Make My Way your home on the Web - http://www.myway.com
