Guest guest
Hello, my name is Kelly, I have lupus, Crohn's, allergies, candidiasis. I am 35, have two kids and hubby. I have learned a lot in the past two years and continue to learn every day. I believe a lot of lupus symptoms and other mysterious autoimmune symptoms are caused by yeast and other small organisms. For instance, the mayo clinic is now saying that 90 percent of sinus infections are fungal. Candida can grow anywhere in the body and spill out mycotoxins which cause pain and inflammation. This pain often wanders or migrates throughout the body. The only way doctors can find yeast if it is exuding white patches or found in stool. It is unrecognizable and I believe is the number one overlooked problem in the US. It can appear as gastritis, or inflammation anywhere, even in joints. (Do your joint symptoms get worse in damp weather? that is a sign) Your immune system trying to kill this fungi as well as other small bacteria and viruses causes more pain and inflammation. What I am doing is changing my diet. I try to drink fresh raw veggie juices with carrot and spinach to heal my stomach, to heal my entire body. I feel light and energized when I do this. It took a body a long time to get sick this way so it will take a while for it to properly heal. No doctor can give a pill which will cure lupus, as a matter of fact, they hurt the body worse in the long run. I don't view lupus as a disease, but rather a condition. People have healed themselves of this condition through detoxing and changing diet, etc. Nystatin and other anticandida drugs cannot eliminate all the candida in the body, and soon the candida that is left mutates and adapts to future nystatin. Successful anticandida regimens include the anticandida diet and the 3 to 5 day rotation periods of natural anticandida supplements and foods like pau d'arco tea, capryllic acid, grapefruitseed extract, oregano oil, etc. Taking the suppement for more than 5 days may allow the candida to adapt to it as well. After the 3rd or fourth anticandidal is taken, then you can start on the first again. Even though milk is pasteurized, the smallest bacteria survive and you ingest this, mycobacterium paratuberculosis, for example. Bacteria, excess hormone (biproducts of estrogen and pregnancy), viruses, stress hormones, fungi, all this builds up and the immune system gets confused. Too much yeast in the bowel and other damage causes the undigested food to enter into the blood stream through little holes (leaky gut syndrome). This causes lots of bizarre symptoms and many food allergies. I would recommend to anyone to try an anticandida diet for three days and see if your symptoms are better. To settle your stomach and bowels, try what the people with Crohn's do , avoid grains, sugars, certain raw vegetables (juice them), and supplement with a good acidophilus and bifidus bacteria. The best diet I can recommend is in Dr. Lorraine Day's video, "You Can't Improve On God". It is fruit and veggie juices, seeds, nuts, raw fruits and veggies. Some people try variations of this diet, for example, Dr. Johanna Budwig has this raw veggie diet but adds flax seed oil to organic cottage cheese (or yogurt). I'm a little wary of this diet because of the other bacteria that might be present in the milk products, but Dr. Budwig has been very successful in Germany with many diseases including heart disease, cancer, and arthritis. She claims to have taken people who were said to only have hours to live (cancer, etc.), and started them on this diet and saved their lives. There are sulphur proteins in the cottage cheese or yogurt and they bind with the fatty acids in the flax seed oil. This makes them water soluble so they can travel all over the body sending healing electrons everywhere, calming, and healing. Her book is called "Flax oil as a true aid against arthritis, cancer, and heart infarction". Incidentally, these same sulphur proteins (glutathione is one) aare found in small amounts in veggies and fruits. Glutathione is the most powerful antioxidant and is low in the blood of sick people. Dr. Day healed herself of breast cancer, and her mother of a type of arthritis and high blood pressure, and Dr. Budwig was nominated 7 times for a Nobel prize for her research about fats. There is a predominance in America of the type of Omega 6 fatty acids (meats, grains, and milk) that cause inflammation (a few types of Omega 6's don't , like Evening Primrose Oil, but they are few). Omega 3 fatty acids, found in flax seed, fatty fish, millet, walnuts (precursors), purslane, and a few other things help to control inflammation. Unless you grind the flax seeds and eat the oil right there, you run the risk of taking flax seed oil capsules that have lost their efficacy, but Barlean's is the company she recommends in her book as being the highest quality. People take a spoonful of flax seed oil and mix it with the organic cottage cheese and take it that way. All this is researchable on the internet and in her book, she tells you how it is supposed to heal you. Your body doesn't want to be sick. With lupus, it is responding to lots of things that don't belong there. Please research leaky gut syndrome, Dr. Day, Dr. Budwig, and natural healing diets. Also, if you are starting to juice, start slow, you might detox quickly as the cells flood with potassium (salt keeps toxins inside, potassum lets them out). Do not take your meds at the same time. I have found it accentuates any meds by sending them quickly through the body. (The same is very true with grapefruit. Do not take meds with grapefruit.) Hopefully if you adopt a juicing regimen, you, along with your doctor, can start to lessen the amount of meds you are taking. Don't expect your doctor to understand anything I've written here though. You can try all this and learn for yourself if it helps. Take care, welcome to the group!
