You are correct in that she more then likely needs more Vitamin C in

her diet, but also Vit E for healing. We heal from the inside out,

and the skin is the largest entity of our body. We need to feed it

from within. Zinc and magnesium are also skin food.

I'm HorseFolk, with decades of horses in my life, their skin is

more sensitive then ours is and scars VERY easily. I've use various

herbs and oils on horrible scars with great success.

And on myself, also.....a year and a half ago I had brain surgery (not

cancer, a bone overgrowth that was starting to press on my brain.)

The scar went from my Widows Peak in the center of my forehead over the

skull to the back of my head and down to in front of my ear to my

jawbone. I have very thin, dry, skin and red hair.......I used Vit

E, Lavender oil, Vit C oil, & tea tree oil in my shampoo and put

the combination of oils in Almond oil and put on the scar (it was

pretty bad) at night. I took Vit C in mega doses, along with vit E

capsules. My family Doctor was amazed, 'What have you been doing to

this scar?' he asked, and I told him.......'KEEP doing exactly what

you are doing,' he said, shaking his head, 'I don't think I've EVER

since a scar on a skull surgery heal this fast.' My daughter who

cuts my hair, says she can not even see where it was............
