If I'm not making juice what am I making?? Any fruit or vegetable liquifies. I agree that it is a thicker consistency but am I not getting the same nutritional benefits from my juice? Your comments would be helpful. thanks, Barb > Message: 3 > Tue, 25 Mar 2003 21:38:07 -0500 > tom cushwa <cushwa > Re: Re Juicer > > on 3/25/03 7:01 PM, b.fischer at b.fischer wrote: > > Hi > The best juicer is VitaMix - it is expensive but worth the money - there is > no > pulp at all - you do cut the core from an apple for example but it juices > the > rest down to juice - no pulp ever. > Hope this helps, > Barb > > > > > Vitamix is a great machine and I use mine almost every day. That doesn't mean that it is not really good for you. A " Juice " doesn't have the fiber of the fruit of vegetable in it. For example, I will often times start my day with a huge celery juice that I add lemon, etc. I will juice an entire bunch of celery. I will sometimes have a couple of these a day. I certainly would not be tempted to that in a Vitamix because that would be a lot of celery fiber to have to digest. I can just hear the Natural Hygienist going ... Ya da ya da ya da If it works for you, keep doing it.
Guest guest
It is my understanding that juicing leaves out most if not all toxic material that the plant may be carrying, as the toxins stay in the pulp. Juicing also keeps the body from having to do very much work in digestion, so all the energy from the plant goes to work in the body, rather than have the body do so much work to get the energy. Though I am pretty sure the vitamix does help lower digestion energy output, it's just not a much as the juicer. hth, Bright , b.fischer@t... wrote: > > Hi Tom > I'm really confused now.
