Guest guest
Homeopathic Health Tips The Philosophy of Homeopathy Homeopathy was founded 200 years ago by Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician. Homeopathy accepts that the natural state of the body is one of health and that we have the natural ability to heal ourselves. What we think of as " symptoms " are the body's efforts to protect itself against disease. Instead of suppressing symptoms, we need to stimulate the body's own healing process with homeopathic remedies to bring about a cure. Abdominal Flu Stomach or abdominal flu is characterized by nausea, vomiting, intestinal cramping, and diarrhea. Fever can also be present in some individuals. Take homeopathic Ipecac to relieve these symptoms. Allergic Hives People with certain food or contact allergies can develop raised, red, itchy whelps after exposure to their allergen. Homeopathic Urtica Urens brings symptomatic relief for hives. Seek constitutional homeopathic care to resolve the allergy itself. Anemia Iron deficiency anemia can be characterized by fatigue, headache, and poor concentration. A balanced diet along with a vegetable-based iron supplement should correct this condition. Consider also homeopathic Ferrum Phosphoricum to aid assimilation of dietary iron. Bone Pain With Flu Many flu sufferers complain about the pain they seem to feel in their bones. This pain can occur with or without fever. For any stiffness or bruised feeling during flu, take homeopathic Eupatorium Perfoliatum as the label directs. Bruising Bruising occurs with injuries when the small capillaries under the skin become damaged. Small amounts of blood then drain into the area. Homeopathic Arnica will resolve the bruising quickly. If you bruise easily and are otherwise healthy, consider supplementing with vitamins C and K to strengthen capillary walls. Celiac Disease Celiac disease is a chronic digestive disorder caused by a hereditary intolerance to gluten (a component in wheat, spelt, rye, oats, barley, triticale, and kamut). (Certainly stress can be a factor to consider as well.) Inflammation, diarrhea and pain are just a few of the problems that may be experienced. Homeopathic Aloe Vera can bring temporary relief while you consider constitutional homeopathy as an alternative. Dental Filling Pain If pain persists after a dental filling, take homeopathic Arnica every 20-30 minutes until the pain is relieved. Before having your filling, speak to your dentist about alternatives to mercury-containing amalgam fillings. Eyestrain Eyestrain and headaches resulting from eyestrain often occur in computer users, those needing a change in their prescription lenses, and in those who are getting used to wearing bifocal lenses. Homeopathic Gelsemium, taken as the label directs, can relieve this condition. Fatigue After Flu Fatigue and low energy can linger after a bout of the flu. To help your health get back on track, take homeopathic Kali Phosphoricum as the label directs. During this period, eat healthy, easy-to-digest food, drink plenty of water and insure adequate sleep. Fear of Illness Oftentimes fear of illness can be crippling, interrupting the thought and peace of mind of sufferers. Homeopathic Arsenicum Album taken as the label recommends can help to ease fears relating to illness. Focus on Spigelia Spigelia (made from the pinkroot plant) is often used for left-sided headaches that start in the neck and radiate over the head to above the left eye. This homeopathic remedy is also effective against many cases of left-sided trigeminal neuralgia. Insomnia Insomnia can result after late hours of work or study. Homeopathic Nux Vomica, taken as the label directs, can insure a good night's sleep. Jet Lag Jet lag can ruin the beginning of a trip whether it's for business or pleasure. Travel across time zones disrupts the body's normal rhythms. Use homeopathic Cocculus Indicus (Indian cockle tree) before your flight and upon arriving at your destination. Many flight attendants can attest to its benefit. Pain Reliever Homeopathic Chamomilla is often thought of as a children's remedy, but can be just as effective for adults. Chamomilla is a wonderful pain reliever for menstrual cramps, labor pains, earache, and of course, a baby's colic. Pet Tip: Constipation Constipation can make your pet lethargic and uncomfortable. Homeopathic Calcarea Carbonicum can relieve the symptoms. Call your vet if this condition isn't resolved in a day or two. - Dr. Victoria Snelling *** url unknown to me...
