It is available now from health food stores, pharmacias and on the Internet at inexpensive prices. These prices may rise quickly if there is a nuclear incident of contamination. Potassium iodide prevents the thyroid gland from attracting and storing radioactive particles from regular or small dirty nuclear devices. When Chernobyl melted down there was a highly radioactive cloud that drifted toward the west coast. It became a rain cloud and rained down radiation on unsuspecting American citizens. As a survivor of such a cloud in the fifties, I saw it coming I tried to keep the kids in for two weeks and eliminated milk from their diet as the cows eat contaminated grass. We are now in danger again. Slightly from terrorist activity, highly from the North Koreans who are just waiting for American soldiers to be distracted by Iraq so they can attack our soldiers on the border of South Korea. Sound far fetched?
