Forgiveness is very important to healing. It releases anger, pain,

sorrow, guilt, hate and fear. This is NOT a pardon or opening to

allow wrongful actions to reoccur, it is just a release, for closure

and ability to move on. Punnishment of self and others only makes it

worse. I used to punnish myself but realized it did no good. We're

too hard on ourselves, our worst enemy and critic. Too often, we feel

we deserve whatever was done to us, including things self inflicted.

This is a summary of a longer essay I had on my site, tucked away

in my files, along with others, now in fixed medium for copyright

into a book.

So many come to me saying they can't forgive themselves as well as

others, and don't understand that in order to heal this must happen

first. This knowledge comes first hand from many hard lessons.

I'm in a situation now where I must forgive someone who's trying to

reconnect with me, a lady who guided me on the Red Road. We seem to

clash a lot, too many misunderstandings, I had to pull away, having

much previous damage to heal from, from situations with different

people. I pray she understands what I told her, that although I

forgive her I cannot get close or reach out anymore, at least for now.

Forgiveness is a slow, painful process we must all face. Facing

ourselves is the hardest challenge we have. Once we've accomplish

this, the healing process begins and we can see the road to recovery.

If anyone needs help with this, I have many ideas. -Sincerely, Silver-
