Guest guest
Laura, I just did it as I read this email and it helped a little bit. It did losen up the muscles. I had a rough night last night. I have a really stuffed up nose and just can imagine trying to keep the guard in my mouth lol. I am going to get one today. Thanks for the massage help. I appreciate that. I will try it whenever it tenses up, which is almost all day long right now. Almost feels like a really bad ear infection and toothache. Thanks again. Guest guest
I had TMJ a few weeks back, for the first time. My dentist said is it worse in the morning? i said yes, he said I grind my teeth in my sleep. So it was stress related. I am into Flower Essences, and the Australian Bushflower Essences have one which they recommend for TMJ. I was sceptical- I generally use them for emotional stuff, but this was real pain! It is called Red Grevillea, and I mixed it with Black Eyed Susan for stress and Dagger Hakea for anger. I thought it was worth a try, and within a week it was gone, and hasnt come back. May be hard to find Australian BushFlower essences (Ian White's) where you are, but I know they are all over the world, so you never know.....good luck Peela Get personalized email addresses from Mail - only $35 a year! http://personal.mail./

But after talking to mom I was diagnosed at 7 with TMJ and that after having retainers it took the pain away till this past year. But I am going to talk to the dentist about getting the bite guard. But thanks for the suggestions. >> I was recently dianosed with Bruxism (teeth grinding). It is so bad that I have chronic pain and occasional jaw pain. Dentist says if it gets any worse my jaw will become out of alignment. I wore a cheap athetic guard at first to see if it helped. I am 5' tall and have a small mouth so wearing this guard felt like I was putting something the size of a football in there! After afew wearing's it gave me mouth sores. I got online and started reading. There is a dental company called www.dentalconcepts that sells a guard called the Doctor's NightGuard. It cost me $18 and I bought it in a size sm/md. It brought some relief but not enough. Last week I was fitted by my dentist for a guard which we hope will provide more relief. I was told to stop using tartar control toothpaste as this can contribute to loss of tooth enamal. To use a floride rinse everyday. In the book Prescription for Nutritional Healing by James F. Balch MD and Phyllis A. Balch, CNC they discuss TMJ and Bruxism. They believe it can be caused by nutrient deficiency. They have 8 supplements they recommend but Calcium (1,500-2,000 mg daily), Magnesium (750mg daily) and Vit B6 (500mg twice daily) are essential they say. I do not know if this would work for you or not but I have been taking this on and off for 3 weeks and I must say that I have had a reduction in pain. Not a Vet or Vet Tech.....YET!!! Ellen and... Guest guest
Thank you for your information. I did go and buy the athletic mouth guard and I have to admit I woke up in less pain than usual but It was a little bit big and I have a little sore. I think it is when I bit down during the night. It is almost like a pinch. But I am going to go the route of braces to relief some of the pressure and I am taking the calcium/magnesium. I will go and get some vit b today as well. I will go check out that web site and see the guards they have. Thanks. Gina

Guest guest
You might want to be fitted with one from your dentist. The ones in the sports stores are universal fit. Take good care and have a great day. Love, Renee and Jerry
Guest guest
You can get the ones that change to fit your mouth. You fit them by placing them into boiling water and then putting them into your mouth. They are very reasonably priced and work quite well. I was given this site to get a mouth guard at and found one that is liquid filled and soft and at a good price. I ordered and waiting for it to arrive. http://www.dentaldepot.com/default.asp This is the addy. I got the aqua one. Gina
Guest guest
I have found another effective way of relieving TMJ, that is Bowen Therapy. Bowen is a technique which involves gentle manipulation of muscles and connective tissues. I use it on many of my clients and have great results. Guest guest
Years ago when I was treated for TMJ, they used a TENS unit on my jaw area every week and also fitted me with a splint to hold the adjustment. The doc would check my bite and make adjustments in the height of it after the TENS treatments. Then I wore braces for a year. I've been told they don't do TMJ treatment this way anymore and I sure don't know why, 'cos it worked for me. Easier than surgery anyway. I don't have any problems unless I have other dental work and have to hold my mouth open for a long time. I usually have the dentist make a new bite thingie if I need one afterwards or put up a simple one from the drugstore. The technique of working the muscles is in line with the kind of treatment they did on me in a lot of ways I would think. I hadn't heard of the Bowen Therapy before I don't believe. Do you recommend your clients also use a bite plate after receiving treatments to help hold the changes? Just kinda curious. Guest guest
I also had TMJ about 10 years ago, and it has been corrected with a magnetic necklace. I don’t know why or how it works, and everyone tells me that it’s all in my head. Maybe it is, but the TMJ is gone – that’s all I care about. Actually, when I was having the TMJ pain, everyone told me THAT was all in my head, too!! I purchased the best kind of magnetic necklace from Nikken – they are sold by independent distributors – I’m sure you would be able to find one anywhere. Guest guest
Magnets used about the body upset the meridian energy circuits. They can cause all sorts of problems with one's immune system and general health level. They may have good effects, temporarily, but so do drugs. Like drugs, their side-effects can endanger the health of the liver, heart, brain. etc., etc. Dr. John Diamond clearly demonstrated that magnets used around the head cause an asynchronization between the cerebral hemispheres - and disturb the body's metabolism.... dangerous! Guest guest
--- oops! you do have to know the frequency for the desired result and in some cases the freq. is perpendicular to another freq which is perpendicular to another, you cant just randomly use magnets without knowing the freq.s involved In , " karl " <k_t723> wrote: > ---Hi!, but didn't he use calculus ( liar's math where 1 can equal > zero) and not Sacred Geometry which operates within the Unified Field > and gives an entirely different set of results, which proves magnetic > therapies > karl > > > In , " Jerry Mittelman " > <jmittelman@n...> wrote: > > Magnets used about the body upset the meridian energy circuits. > They can cause all sorts of problems with one's immune system and > general health level. > > They may have good effects, temporarily, but so do drugs. Guest guest
Karl, Do you mean you have to know the frequency of the magnets? How would one find out what that frequency is – and what it ideally should be? Guest guest
--- if you really want to know what the magnets are going to do. the wrong freq.s would give the results that Jerry quoted.the freq.s that Elaine posted shortly ago looked good ,there are alot of different freq.s and even formulas for certain desired effects and calculus is not involved but Sacred geometry( I have some links posted at the site) is and they don't teach that in school and I haven't heard of any mainstream universities teaching it either, I have a list of some of the freq.s at my dumpy little website http://groups.msn.com/exposureofthetruth and going to add the ones Elaine posted later this week, there may be some links with more freqs I cant recall off hand In , " Carol Minnick " <carolminnick@a...> wrote: > Karl, > > Do you mean you have to know the frequency of the magnets? Guest guest
--- everybodies bio-electric field(aura) is operating at a different freq. with numerous variations within the body that's part of the reason that we resonate so well with certain individuals and not others its the frequency compatability, so a product that operates on a single nonadjustable freq. would not benefit the whole but rather only certain individuals . knowing your own body's resonate freq. will help to determine the necessary adjustments that need to be made to such a product and to other frequencies that one may wish to use for beneficial purposes. the use of freq isn't as easy as some would have people think, take me for example the only water that I drink goes something like this: 60mhz 200mv charge, postive spin ,negative polarity, oxygenated to 38% with the identical makeup of the ideal body water so naturally some of the the frequencies that would be beneficial to others would have little effect on myself due to the higher resonate freq within my body does that make sense? hehehe! cause it sure sounds discobobulated.hehehe! it is out there huh? I hope that I didn't confuse you even more!!
