Guest guest
Hi I seem to retain water in my body which makes me look sort of bloated at times...Its a bother when I have to where certain clothes...what can I do to help prevent it...I do bet the regular bloated when my period comes but then I feel I stopped feeling bloated when its gone...But at time during the month I seem to feel bloated...I heard constipation cause it but I'm not that...and I don't drink or smoke..I do drink diet soft drinks could it be a cause? Should I stop? Maybe 3 a day. What can someone recommend for not getting bloated...or retaining water in the body so my clothes feel tighter...Oh yes I even tried to not eat too much...it doesn't help...I'm not much of a over eater but I have been know to over eat....But when I noticed the bloating I stopped as to see if its the food...it seems not to be.. Is there a tea I can try? A vitamin? Thank you
Guest guest
Hi, Well, I have 2 suggestions that I hope will work. Everyone says that water is the best diuretic and that if you drink lots of water, you won't retain water. I can't actually say that I've ever noticed a difference personally, but many people say it, including doctors. Secondly, you can drink dandelion tea. People use this to get rid of extra water. That's why it's also considered an herb that will help to lower blood pressure that's too high. It can also be bought as a tincture and you put drops as indicated on the bottle in water a few times a day and drink. Guest guest
Several things come to mind here. The first is to immediately stop drinking diet soda (or any type of regular soda.) I don't want to start a war on this list about Aspartame (Nutrasweet) but I personally feel it's a horrible thing, and will not consume anything which contains it (nor will I allow my children to do so.) The best thing to do to combate bloating, believe it or not, is to drink lots of clear, clean water. I know that seems weird, but your body will retain water unless you drink sufficient to hydrate yourself. The minimum suggested is eight 8 ounce glasses of water daily. Don't try to do it all at once, work up to it, and space them out through the day. Once you are drinking at least that much, I think you'll find the bloating goes away (unless you're dealing with food allergies, which is a whole 'nuther subject.) Guest guest
I have to agree with Laura hear about the drinking water thing for bloating. Yesterday, due to some digestive distress which normally would have caused bloating, I decided to have a mainly liquid day. Lots of homemade chicken bouillon....glasses of water throughout the day, some gentle herbal teas....and though it was a bit inconvenient (we went to the movies) to have to go to the restroom more often, that slowed down as the water left. By end of day, not only was excess bathroom trips over, bloating gone, but gas that accompanies the digestive chaos had cleared up too. Guest guest
Oh sooooo right. Plus if you're drinking other drinks such as coffee processed or frozen juices, etc. you actually need even more water for cleansing and hydration. Hydration still won't be complete unless the water itself is in the proper form to be a " living " water. Metal pipes, additives, and numerous other factors can destroy the frequency of the water you're drinking and even though you drink alot of it you could still suffer from dehyration at the cellular level. Many cheap vitamins and minerals do not do any good and some actually can cause a negative response if they are not in the proper form for the body to utilize. Not all water is equal either.
