Allergies

I have been sick for several years with various diagnoses including

fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis, and mental illness.

Sinus infections all winter, headaches, body pain, joint pain, exhaustion.

 

A few weeks ago I did an elimination diet and my mood went right where it

should be, my pain went completely away except my hands and feet (this is

nothing), and my energy level was sky-high. Wow. But, I was STARVING the

whole time I was on it, and when I went off it I just started eating

everything. I asked my dr. for an allergy test and he had 95 foods tested.

According to that, I am off-the-chart allergic to dairy, plus wheat barley

rye eggs etc etc.

 

Anyway, I think I am allergic to my house and after some research tonight am

wondering about house mites (dust mites?). They are supposed to be worse

from Oct-March----- that is me! I would like to get tested for more things

including environmental allergans. I would also like to have my PCP order

it, so I don't have to pay. The other stuff was done by my naturopath, who

is not covered on my insurance, so it gets expensive.

 

I think my dr. will not be supportive of this request. I think this because

of my experiences with physicians in general, not this one in particular.

Does someone have any suggestions on how to approach him?

 

Also, any comments or experience on the subject of allergies is more than

welcome; it is all new to me.
