Guest guest
Hello - I am new to this group and hope that I may get some opinions on fish oil. I am considering purchasing Pharmaceutical grade fish oil from Dr Sears in an attempt to try and control my DH's high blood pressure. His current medication is not working and he has been on several. His latest was a beta-blocker that put him in the hospital with a pulse of 20 and low potassium. His current BP is 150/110. Besides him being a guinea pig right now trying to find the right med, is fish oil a viable solution? I welcome any thoughts on this issue. Thanks! Guest guest
Carol-- Yes, pharmaceutical-grade fish oil might be an exccellent solution, but, of course, he will have to experiment with it and give it enough time (up to a couple of months, though it may work much faster). You might also talk to him about taking the AA/EPA test that Sears recommends (you can learn more about it in his book " The Omega RX Zone " and on his website). You can learn more about pharmaceutical-grade fish oil at (and how it differs from other forms) at: http://www.authentic-breathing.com/fish_oil.htm The Sears Labs people are great. If you have questions about a dosage (you will probably want to start with 5 grams/day or so), you can ask for Dave Schreck. He is very helpful. The telephone number is on the page referenced above.
