Guest guest
Hi there I am 42 and perimenopausal. I had a few alternative health practitioners recommend a soy progesterone creme for me to help with the " heat " , the mood swings and PMS. This also helps very well with menopausal symptoms. The type I use is a Soy preparation by Arbonne called Phytoprolief. I use it about 2 weeks during the cycle, am on the second month and have seen a great deal of improvement in my symptoms. I had used Dong Quai previously but have fibroids now, and since it is a plant estrogen, is contraindicated now. It also contains several herbals that help with regulating cycles but does not contain the estrogen component. There are supposedly no side effects with this that are assoicated with HRT, which I really like. As stated above due to having the fibroids, HRT is not an option for me right now. From what I understand is that it is being found that we need progesterone more so and not estrogen when we get to this time of our lives. There are several references on the web concerning soy progesterone cremes. I would research these and see if you think this might be appropriate for you. Check out the Arbonne site or any others. I highly recommend this stuff as I have been very pleased with the results that I have gotten. I have no ties with this company or the creme LOL.
