Guest guest
<PRE>Some of the info given out is been good, informative, and interesting. But I do think that just reading something out of a book is not always the best medicine, what one of my books says, another book says something completely different.. I even read in a book how to treat :shock with herbs: WOW!! I would never make a cup of herbal tea for someone in shock. my first reaction would be: ER I do believe some diseases cannot be treated ::just:: with herbal medicine, as in bleeding ulcers, I think he needs to be seen by a doctor. and the gal with the rash, that sounds like an allergic reaction to something(it happened to me, ended up in emergency medical walk in) please see a doctor. I myself have a heart condition and I do take :traditional meds: and I am also looking into herbal supplements//remedies but with much research and making sure they don't superced each other. I hope I have offended no one.
Guest guest
No, Dian, what you say is fine. Thank you. You make good points. I've been kind of scared sometimes to post because I thought people wouldn't like something, but it is amazing. Everyone just takes what they can use, apparently, and leaves the rest. I haven't seen any flaming. Thank you, all. What a great group. And there are so many hundreds of us! Guest guest
I Agree , get a diagnosis first if it is something you are unsure about , like your heart or bleeding ulcers ..etc...., then see if it is something that can be treated by an alternative way ,or see if an alternative way can be used along with tradtional medical treatment. And research things throughly , talk to your doctor about alternative ways , using herbs and such , if you have to take a prescription medicine make sure a herb or vitamin or supplement is not going to react or interfer with that medicine..(talk to your pharmacist too , he actually is the one who knows if a traditional med is going to react with a vitamin or supplement , if he doesnt , make him look it up) ....like taking garlic with blood thinning medicine for a heart condition , example. my mom has a serious heart condition , has to take certain meds, including a blood thinner , but she was also taking all kinds of supplements , etc ( she is into alterantive ways ) but her blood work kept coming back all messed up , the dr had to keep changing her dosage , still things werent right , finally I had her give me a list of all she was taking( meds and supplements) and dosages , I checked them all out on a RX site ( one like the drs and pharmacies use) I found that the garlic she was taking was messing with her blood thinner , I had her stop using the garlic , finally her blood work started coming out right and she was feeling better, they havent had to change her dosage now in a long time...,,some things just cant be aways treated with herbs and such such as an ear infection ( anyone seen an ear drum that has burst because of infection , I have , not pretty ) you may be able to help prevent an ear infection but you cant cure it once it has started , get medical help then . ..sorry just wanted to throw in my two cents worth..lol..Lisa , Dian8711@a... wrote: > <PRE>Some of the info given out is been good, informative, and interesting.
