Guest guest
What a great --and yes, I too am new to this group. I've been suffering with foot odor for as long as I can remember and have long since been embarrassed by this. I've tried every Dr. Scholl's foot odor spray, cream, powder, and other brands to no avail. Any alternative treatments you all can recommend will be greatly appreciated. Also, if any of you know the cause for this, i would like to know too. It's not like I have dirty feet--even when ibuy anew pair of shoes or sneakers, I have this problem...HELP! Thanks in advance... Guest guest
You could try adding a drop or two of peppermint essential oil to a bowl of hot soapy water, and soak your feet for a while. Also creams with peppermint in are very good. Jo I've been suffering with foot odor for as long as I can remember and have long since been embarrassed by this. Guest guest
Hi, Chance, I have a similar situation. My problem is I don't notice it. In researching the source of foot odor, I found it is most likely bacteria or fungi which thrive in the warm moist environment of a socked and shoe'd foot. My solution is to keep my feet as dry as I can. I've had good success with Tinactin powder before I put on my socks. Of course, I no longer have my first wife to tell me when I cause offense. Hee hee. That said, of course, everyone has a unique threshhold regarding offensive or unacceptable foot smell. Since I can't tell, I always make a joke of it. Once at a shamanic healing group I took off my shoes and said something about aromatherapy. One lady laughed and said, "Gratuitous aromatherapy." So that is the line I always use now when I remove my shoes in public. Blessings, Tom D. "Bernard " wrote: What a great --and yes, I too am new to this group. Guest guest
Try substituting baking soda for foot powder once or twice a week. Guest guest
Hi Chance, You've more than likely got athlete's foot, try tea tree oil applied a couple X's a day between the toes. It worked beatifully for my husband in about 2 days. But keep the treatment up for a week. Best of Luck, Hi, Chance, I have a similar situation. My problem is I don't notice it.
