Guest guest
Hi there everyone, Heather Bull here, I'M FINALLY PREGNANT BUT THE PAIN IS AWFUL CAN YOU HELP ME????? sorry i have not been on for months now, i have been bad with the endo. For those that don't know me i was diagnosed with Endometriosis (endo)by laparoscopy June 2001, following the op i had a blood clot on my lung (pulmonary embolism-pe), I blead constantly for nearly 6months, norithisteron and dydrogesterone had no effect. last Nov they did a scan and i was bleeding internally with 2 cysts forming. Since then i have had 2 flair ups this year about june and August i think??? It wasn't that bad until i gave up breastfeeding my daughter at 2yrs 1month. There is evidence to suggest that breastfeeding helps control endo and with the pain, i would def recomend it, not only as a trainee breastfeeding councillor but mainly as a breastfeeding mum with endo!!! The pain is only just being kept under control with Oramorph which is the only thing that touches it. Well we have been trying for our 2nd child for a while now, CJ is 2yrs and 7months. And GUESSE WHAT???? I'M PREGNANT I am only 8 weeks at the mo but the pain is like a flair up, i'm still needing the oramorph. If i go to stand up quick it feels like my insides are being ripped apart especially over my ovaries. I know i have the endo on my right ovary and the pouch of douglas but the pain is unbareable sometimes. Can you help answer my Q's?? How long does it take for the endo pain to go when you are pregnant? Does it go? Do you know of anything to help during pregnancy? I have been having hoeopathy treatment via NHS for about 7 months now and it has helped tremendously, first with the bleeding. I have just started taking a remedy for the pain and i'm convinced it is helping to a certain degree. I would def recomend it but make sure you get a good homeopath first, recomendations are usually a good idea from what i've been told. Well i hope you are all well and that you can help me Take care all. Look out for someone, and someone will look out for you. Best wishes. Guest guest
Hi Heather, I unfortunately know more about endo than I care to. Years ago before I was working with folks on nutrition issues my wife developed endo, lost one ovary and many weeks of pain to it and was told she'd never conceive. Long story short, current status is no endo, 3 month old son. In the years that I have studied this issue it is clear that the best stop gap immediate solution is orally administered natural progesterone that is suspended in vitamin E oil. For you this is doubly important in that you are pregnant. Endo involves severe estrogen excess typically and that is very hard on the fetus. Babe's who have been supplemented in first tri with progesterone have been shown to develop much better and also minimize miscarriage risk. Essentially the method of action is simply countering the estrogen concentrations by providing ample progesterone. Synthetic progestins will not provide the same effect and creams are not recommended due to toxicity issues. I hope this helps. If you should need more info feel free to email me or post me here.
