Good Morning!

Shiva Lingam Stones

The Shiva Lingam is one of the most sacred icons of the ancient and

modern world. These stones are beautiful!

They come only from the Narmada River in the central western part of

India.

If you saw the movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, you may

recall they were searching for the sacred stone. The Shiva Lingam is

the sacred stone.

Accessible only during the dry seasons, these stones are collected

from the river bed by only a few families who have been trained in

the way to identify only the most special pieces.

Once collected, they are shaped and polished by these incredible

artisan families.

They polish the stone to bring out the natural markings which are

inherent in their composition.

The Shiva Lingam is symbolic of Divine Creation! The shape

represents the Power of Shiva, the Indian Lord of Creation (the

masculine energy). The markings also known as Yoni, symbolize the

feminine energy, the seed which is fertilized to manifest the

creative power.

Geologists theorize that the iron oxide, of which the Yoni is

composed, was impregnated in the river bed millions of years ago by a

meteorite. Also composed of quartz, basalt, and agate (along with the

shape) make them powerful energy generators appropriate for healing

and unique as a tool for meditation and cleansing! When worn, it

will affect the mind and heart in positive ways. The medium size

Shiva Lingam work as excellent massage tools.

Shiva Lingam also represents harmony and balance of the soul that is

maintained within the heart, therefore, relates to the Fifth Chakra ,

The Heart Chakra and manifests the love energy that is in all of us.

Shiva Lingam are the shape of the soul and the consummate balance of

the Universe.
