night guards and pillows

Just got back from the dentist, who made my night guard, and he basically

said, even tho I did really well with it, UNTIL he adjusted it, it was not

the nightguard that was giving me headaches. OR, it was my pillow pushing

on my jaw joint with it in. His chairside suggested buckwheat. Before I

go out and buy a new pillow, I am a side sleeper, what kinds would be good?

Of course I like those soft pillows that I can conform to my neck, and don't

do well with the shaped pillows the chiropractors sell. Any suggestions or

experience appreciated. I just hate throwing the money for the night guard

away, and don't have more to see another dentist for another kind.

Lona,

A couple of years ago I ordered a 20 pound sack of buckwheat hulls

from www.caudillseeds.com

This is a large gunny sack and I believe the price was less than $35

delivered.

I used them to make pillows for a handicapped bird.

As I just looked at their site, they are now selling pllows and pet

beds but if you contact them perhaps they will send you just the hulls

so you can easily make custom pillows for yourself.

One sack would make at least three full sized pillows or one long body

pillow.
