Guest guest
Hi Susan, thanks for your reply, my goodness, i am not alone. Wow that really does make a difference!!! I empathise with you also. >Susan Porter <porterwk2001 > > >Re: UTI/kidney infection again, help please >Tue, 9 Apr 2002 18:59:43 -0700 (PDT) > > > Heather I empathize with you. I also had endometriosis since I was a >teenager and my periods would have be literally in bed not able to do >anything for the first couple of days. I also got a lot of UTI's and yeast >infections. They told me that it would get easier after I had children. >That was a joke, I have had five and it did not get better. In fact my >daughter has had it since she was a teen so I am assuming that it may be >genetic. I tried alot of different methods of dealing with it medically >and could not get relief. After my mid thirties and after a tubal I >decided to have a partial hysterectomy. Drastic I know but I had spent so >much time on my period that life was passing me by. The only relief it did >give me was I did have a decrease in yeast infections, eating yogurt every >day I was told would help, it has. Then endometriosis I thought went away, >because I had no more horrible periods until just a year ago when my doctor >informed me that I had a large cyst and needed to have it removed. When >they got to it they found out that the endo had spread to other areas when >it didn't have my uterus to go to. I don't know what causes this horrible >crap and I worry about where it will go to next. They told me that they >were going to remove my ovaries because the endo had gotten there too but >it had wrapped around them and my other organs so they didn't dare to go >near them. You might want to have them do an ultrasound on your organs to >make sure the endo hasn't spread, but as far as the UTI's you should start >taking cranberry if you havent' already started. That has been able to >keep mine away, even when one starts I start raising my cranberry level and >it goes away with no Dr visit entailed. I wish you much luck and until you >can get it figured out use a heating pad or something like it on your >stomach to lessen the pain. I to find that cranberry, heat pads and yogurt halp and it is usually enough to get rid of it except it didn't this time. Do you know if it CAN spread to your kidneys??? I had a feeling it can spread to your bladder as my urologists did a cystoscopy last year and my bladder was clear. I have been trying to get hold of him. I will try again tomorrow and see what he thinks about me having a scan done. Many thanks for your advice, i really appreciate it. Would it be possible to keep in touch off group as i feel it would help me a lot to speak with someone in the same shoes????
