Guest guest
Hello Friends, An additional healing music concert on Sunday, May 5 at 7 pm has been added to Eliana Gilad's peace tour in Manhattan. It is a Healing Meditation Voice and Rhythm Program at the Sivananda Center in Chelsea 243 W 24th Street, between 7th and 8th avenues. The other natural healing programs are as follows: 1. SUNDAY, APRIL 28 CONCERT: RHYTHMS OF THE NATURAL VOICE - " SHECHINA " “Shechina”, the name for the feminine aspect of the divine, according to Kabbalah - Jewish Mysticism Solo performance by Eliana Gilad illuminating the power of the voice, rhythm and the Hebrew language as a natural healer such was used in ancient times. Eastern frame drums are used to ground the body, western melody to soothe and relax the listener. In the classical Eastern approach to music, the artist and audience are both actively involved in the musical experience. This program is not a typical " show " . Its purpose is to allow the listener to genuinely connect with him/herself, whatever that may be in the moment. In our overly busy and stressful lives, it is nourishing to stop and enjoy the simplicity of healing sound. Sunday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m. $15 Families welcome! WEDNESDAY, MAY 1 - 7:30 - 9:30 PM WORKSHOP: RHYTHMS OF THE NATURAL VOICE During the workshop participants will learn: 1) The healing power of voice and natural rhythm using our body as an instrument such was used in ancient biblical times. 2) The eastern approach to music as a natural relaxant. Simple chants and movements will be taught to connect us with our inner core. 3) The universal note of D flat/C sharp. Until 1930, all instruments in the East were tuned to this note. This is still the case in India. We will learn a cosmic melody resonating with the seven main energy centers. 4) The number 7 and it's mystical and natural power. Seven is a combination of even and odd numbers and has a balancing affect on our body. We will learn a healing chant in the rhythm of seven based upon the ancient female traditions of the Mediterranean. Participants are welcome to bring frame drums for this portion of the workshop. 5) The spiritual roots and power of the Hebrew language and its use in everyday life. 6) A mystic Hebrew meditation based upon the kabalistic wisdom of sound healing that balances our seven main energy centers and leaves us feeling relaxed and connected with our inner core.
