Hi Lisa, They aren't charging for mail services exactly--they are charging for forwarding mail to or from a account if you have another account and utilize the POP-3 (forwarding) system. It is something you have to manually sign up for/configure (it's the "Check Other Mail" under Options).

I know there's been a lot of confusion on groups about that. Of course, they have made so many changes over the last few months, it probably won't be long before they do start charging for everything, LOL. I am seriously considering switching my groups over to MSN communities--they are so much better--I started one as a test, and like it better than . *~*Bountiful Blessings to All*~*

It sure is confusing! What I did read, which was a news release was that they were charging for email services. I must have misread I thought MSN merged with ? same with hotmail? I thought all three were owned by one co??

Hmm, maybe it's not the same thing I saw then. Who knows, has

changed greatly over the past few months. . .starting with skimming

their free email accounts from 6 MB to 4 MB. I use more than one

account so I can keep my info a little more handy than on disk; my

original account has 6--my new ones have 4. Ah well. . .whadda ya

gonna do? You get what you pay for--or rather don't get what you

don't pay for, after all, as someone else recently said.

 

I'm not sure about the companies merging. . .haven't heard about that

yet either. . .but I'm not exactly " in the loop " , it just happened

that someone on my group is!
