Hello Everyone. I had a vaginal hysterctomy on Jan 10th.

Unfortunately I hemorraged and they had to cut me open. They then

took might right ovary. For the most part I have healed very well

however there has always been a constant burning on my left side.

Since they didn't take my left ovary, I was worried. To make a long

story short the doctor finally found out that I have a tear in my

abdomen wall from the retractors they used in surgery. He wants me

to go to pain management and have pain medicine injected into the

area. Needless to say I am not comfortable with this. I feel it

would do nothing but mask my pain. (I do a lot of lifting at work)

I'm not sure if I would realize it when I am overdoing it. The doc

said it will heal on it's own, but the burning sensation is very

uncomfortable. Is there anything herbal I could be taking to help

this heal? I have taken rutin for hemorroids in the past and I

understand that that is for the healing of capillaries, however not

sure if it would help me in this case. If anyone has any answers I

would be so grateful. I do not do well with pain, and simply, I am

just fed up with it. I want my life back to normal:)

Thanks, Melanie

Dear Melanie,

You have a blockage restricting various circulatory functions affecting the

area of your tear or it would have healed along with the rest of your

" wounds. " People who do not do well with pain are usually crippled by it in

the long run because they avoid doing those things that aid the healing

process if those things simultaneously cause more pain.

Get an anatomy book, study the various circulatory functions that both feed

and drain the area that is hurting, and eliminate the blockages by whatever

means is necessary. Mental, physical, emotional and chemical (natural

'chemicals' of course). Chances are it is either physical or emotional since

the other areas have healed.
