I am trying to find a safe way to control recurrent bladder

infections in a 100 yr old, 75 lb, female dementia patient who is

not continent. She has frequent bladder infections due to e coli and

fecalis. She has become allergic to most antibiotics. She has

ulcerative gastroesophagitis and hypothyroidism. She takes Synthroid

and Prilosec daily. Suggestions appreciated. Jody

Of course, cranberry juice daily is excellent, however

it needs to be pure cranberry juice without " sugar " as

most of the juice cocktails in the stores are. Can

buy it at health food stores and also in concentrated

form. (Otherwise, the sugar only irritates the

bladder infection, I have found.) A good natural

antibiotic that is very effective for many things is

" olive leaf extract. " Do you know of it? It's pretty

amazing stuff. Also, can be bought at a health food

store or ordered on-line I'm sure.

Hope this helps.

With blessings,

Nora

I believe people have had success using ozonated olive oil. It comes frozen

and should stay refrigerated. You would form it into a suppository. I

purchase mine from Saul Pressman at: spressman

How about cranberry extract or in a pill form. You can find them at your local HFS.
