Guest guest
--Intuition-- Wed. 10/17/2001 What is intuition? Why is it so overlooked? Who says a person who uses intuition and experience is not as qualified as the one who's gone through formal training? How many have degrees, certificates, licenses and titles, who are hardly qualified for their position? So many just go through the motions, doing it just because they can. How sad! I've known many people who've done wonderful things, though they had no piece of paper given them by some " authority " . We have leaders who make wrong decisions which do not reflect the will of the people. They do not act on our behalf, yet they are in the position to enforce their will upon us. Does this make any sense? A policeman who abuses his power, don't belong there, correct? A public servant should be mindful of the disposition they carry. We are all responsible for our actions. This doesn't mean I think I can do surgery on you though, even if I felt I could. I'd want a licensed doctor for things like that. I've been helped by more people with little or no formal training, than by those with degrees. This is NOT critizing all those who studied many years to earn degrees. There are many wonderful people who were able to take the time, who could afford a good education, and are able to work within those structured guidelines with great success. When I criticize something, it doesn't mean I'm condemming it. Most people cannot understand that we can disagree without condemnation. Intuitives and learned people can all live together, there is a place for each of us here. I acknowledge them, yet, sadly, most of them wouldn't acknowledge me. Books are wonderful tools, but when we get too dependent on them, we give up our ability to explore for ourselves and suppliment that knowledge. How many performers with little or no technical study, are very good at their professions? How many who study note for note, to acheive perfect pitch and tempo, lack the heart and soul of the music? There are many people who are able to maintain their natural abilities, while building on them with outside lessons. Many people who paid for certificates are not quilified, while others are. I don't claim to be better than anyone, just different. How many doctors have messed up? Their degree does not prevent a misdiagnosis, as we all can see. Afterall, we're only human, right? A license does not invalidate my inate knowledge, it's just a different way. How does my lack of understanding technical terms prevent me from understanding human nature? I just perceive it differently, that's all, though I'm not a psychologist. I admire those who take time to learn those things, yet hope they don't limit themselves to a specific structure of understanding, as the Only way. Sadly many do, and discredit Intuitives. Degrees, licenses, and certificates do have their place. People feel threatened by the Intuitive. Many feel their certificates seperate them from the naturals; believing their formal training makes them better. I understand ii this way: If I had gone to school for many years to learn a skill, then someone with less education takes my job, I'd be angry, too. I'd feel cheated! If I were hiring, I 'd want the person who gets the job done most efficiently, right? What if the less educated person proves to be better at the task? Degrees only go so far. It's like knowing theory, and being able to apply those ideas to the various situations. What happens when theory cannot be proven, like psychic phenomonon, or miracles? Yet each of these things happen all around us. Sometimes a well educated person overlooks the simplicity of a situation. The formal learning structure often does not allow for variables, therefore many things are simply not obvious. It doesn't invalidate or insult your integriity that a less studied person figured out your dilema. If you can both work together, you'll balance each other out, and everybody wins! Many say to me how they wish they were as intuitive as I, and often I envy their ability to utilize what they've learned in school. Intuitition is a very valuable asset, that benefits everyone. Explore and nurture your own Intuition, you'll be glad you did! --©2001 by A SilverSpirit-- ===== Intuitive, Healer, Empath, Friend To better understand what I do, Please go here: http://www.geocities.com/a_silverspirit/A_SilverSpirit_Brochure.html Make a great connection at Personals. http://personals.
