Guest guest
I see where you are coming from with all that you said, it would be great if it all could end up this way. But there is one thing that you must understand... and that is you can not change a person overnight. People are who they are and some are set in thier ways. And I am pretty sure that the people of Kabul are set in their ways. However, I alone with many others believe in " an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth " . Why should we just let them get away with a murder charge. Or for that matter, 10,000 or more murder charges. Well its always nice to here what everyone else thinks about what is happening in the would too so thanks for your thoughts and hopefully it all won't be as ugly as we all think. It's not about changing people (We cannot change anyone if we " strive " to do that). It's about doing the right thing for its own sake. It's about " restoring the integrity of essential nature " . It's about following the Way. It's not about calculating short-term gains or satisfying the ego. It's about restoring the universal harmony to keep things whole and heal from within, just like stimulating the overall body to heal itself. It's not easy; it takes time. We need to be patient and persevere. " An eye for an eye " brings immediate satisfaction; but it actually causes greater destruction in the long run, simply because it's not the Way and so destroys the universal harmony. We need to return home, which is " wholeness " . We are all ONE. We need to include everyone and everything " unconditionally " . The more we restore our essential nature, which is " oneness " , the more we are at home, which is peace and harmony.
