Sunday, September 23 2-6pm $60/person ContactYoga is an emerging form, combining Hatha & partner yogas with the principles of basic partner acrobatics. It allows two people to share weight, balance, and support. One can access postures more fully when aided and encouraged by a partner. Part of the practice involves one partner " flying " the other in safely supported asanas and inversions. No previous experience is necessary except the ability to stretch, risk, trust, and play. Come with a partner or find one there. ContactYoga offers the rare and golden experience of grounding and deepening into postures while suspended in air. It's awesome! -Stacey Bell, owner/director Mindful Movement Yoga, NYC Erin and Kevin's workshop was the best experience I've ever had with my body. -Stephanie Douglas, Boulder, CO *__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__* Clowning & Yoga Workshop Rasa Yoga 246 West 80th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10024 Call (212) 875-0475 for reservations. Sunday, September 30 2-7pm $75/person " The Clown is someone who looks at life and sees something the rest of us don't. He translates that sight into form and the audience sees the world through the clown's eye. If he had language he'd be a poet. If he had politics he'd be an anarchist. If he had religion he'd be a prophet. If he had a spiritual practice he'd be a yogi. " In this highly experiential and physical workshop we will use imagination, breath, gesture, yoga, story vinyasa, and relationship (status) to find our inner clown. We will call this character up from the depths of our being. We will locate our wound and find the gold (clown) inside it. Once he/she is born we will play with the other characters. Stylistically the clown does not know the " fourth wall. " Communication with the partner/audience is paramount. Wear loose comfortable clothing; bring a hat, a picture of yourself under the age of 7, writing journal, and any other costume, props or materials that may be appropriate. *__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__*__* CircusYoga Weekend Workshop Baptiste Power Yoga Studio in Cambridge, MA Call the Boston Yoga Hotline (617) 267-9642 (BOS-YOGA) or email info Saturday, January 19th and Sunday January 20th, 2002 Circus Yoga for Kids and Families is an imaginative, fun-filled experience for the whole family designed to strengthen self- confidence, focus, trust, and teamwork.
