Guest guest
--Unconditional Love-- 9/7/2001 What is unconditional love? Many believe in " Perfect Love & Perfect Trust " . Is this all too idealistic? Is this all easier said than done? Isn't the Journey more important than getting there? So we can't always follow our ideals, be it the Rede, or whatever else we may believe in. It's OK. Our success rate is our measuring tool on our life's Journey, the effort we put in, our intent. To me, love and acceptance go together. Accepting a loved one's differing ways helps me love stronger. Loving despite disagreements helps me accept better. See how they intertwine? Maybe this is just me. That's OK too. What does Unconditional Love mean to you? Acceptance, patience, tolerence? My love won't change someone's bad habbits. No one can change anyone but one's self. This is one of my daily reminders. My acceptance won't change anything but my stress level. I can be happy despite these challenges. Acceptance is part of my Love. I love and accept you as you are, not as I want you to be, even if I feel you're handling things all wrong. In realizing my love may not affect you at all, I can love you still. I can love you even if you don't know it. I will never impose. Where does Forgiveness fit in? Can I forgive hurt, but not tolerate repeats? Why should I hate someone for being different? Is it worth the energy? Yeah I'm rambling, but that's just me. I think a lot.
