Every few months I do a self assessment, redefining

and redirecting, rediscovering and reawakening... We

all get stuck in a rut at sometime in our lives. I've

had many " awakenings " in my lifetime, though

eventually I kinda slip back into semi consciousness.

You know, when things once new become old and

familiar, routine, and often dull. Some things stay

with us and become part of our being, part of the

mold.

Self assessment is a very useful tool to help guide

us in measuring our progress on our life's Journey.

This is a personal evaluation that only requires one

thing- that we be HONEST WITH OURSELVES. For 20 years

I've been doing this, long before I read any self help

books. When I help someone with this, all I ask is

their honesty with themselves. No matter how many

failures, regardless of how far forward or backwards

in one's progress, being truthful to ourselves is the

only way we can make any progress.

The letting go of old stuff is the next hardest

thing, but once done, a great weight is lifted from

deep within us. I KNOW. The difference between this

year and last, for me, is not much, but MY ATTITUDE.

The result is LESS STRESS and MORE HAPPINESS. I know

it's hard, that old stuff is so familiar, so

comfortable, we wrap it around us like a security

blanket. I'm not cured, but I Am BETTER.

Sincerely, Feather :)
