Guest guest
Dear All, In one of the major achievement for JSA, Himachal government today issued a letter for implimenting intra-dermal regimen of ANTI-RABIES VACCINE in the state( copy attached). Now the poor patients have to spend only Rs.300/- instead of spending Rs.1500/- In this whole issue a multipronged srategy paid rich dividens as on one hand we have filed a PIL and on the other hand I, as president of Himachal Medical Officers Association was constantly emphasising the point for the intra-dermal use of ARV. I hope now all the organisations would persue the matter with their respective governments in the interest of poor patients. I must pay my special gratitude to Dr. Ashoke Kale of Chattisgarh and Dr. Anant Padke of SEHAT,Pune and Shiv Dutt Bhardwaj of Himachal Upbhogta Sanrakshan Parishad and lawyer Anoop Rattan for all the technical and legal help given to us and of course JSA as organisation! In the end special thanks to the health minister and of Himachal as well. Thanks and Regards, Dr. Omesh BHarti Co-ordinator JSA Himachal
Guest guest
I am appalled to read on this list praise that Authorities have reduced the costs of vaccines so that the very poor may be poisoned equally with their wealthier compatriots - but I do not live in the same climate with the same dangers that the millions of Indians face everyday - can someone please explain to me - are these Rabies vaccines as dangerous and as polluting to the human body as all the other vaccines on offer? Surely you have decent simple cures over there for the Rabies problem - if it exists before the vaccine spreads it, or the fear of it - what are the options? I know nothing about this disease. Leo - what is your opinion? Guest guest
Dear jane, would you please tell me what you would do if a rabied dog bites someone close to you? Guest guest
Bharti - did you not read my mesage? I specifically said I had no experience in this matter and asked what alternatives were available - didn't I? If I lived in your country then presumably I would be prepared for the type of problem that I would meet - ask me how i deal with problems that exist here in Australia and I can probably tell you. This is why I asked Dr Leo as he is a homeopath and would probably be able to offer you an answer. Dr Bhate would be able to offer an Ayurvedic answer - so lets wait and see if there is someone who can offer the alternative that I asked for in my first post. Thanks Jane - " omesh bharti " <bhartiomesh Tuesday, May 20, 2008 1:53 PM Re: [HealthyIndia] Himachal government today issued a letter for Intra-dermal Anti-Rabies Vaccine > Dear jane, > would you please tell me what you would do > if a rabied dog bites someone close to you? > Bharti >
Guest guest
The risk of complications following anti rabies vaccine is one in ten thousand and the risk of catching rabies following rabid dog bite is one in ten. One may catch rabies even ten years after rabid dog/animal bite. There exists no treatment homeopathic/ayurvedic/unani/allopathic for persons infected by rabies. Paste of freshly ground sunflower petals applied on the bite site till the wounds heal is practised in Jharkhand's remote areas for animal bites. So take your odds for against vaccination.
