The earthquake is much more devastating than what struck Gujarat on Jan 26 a few years back.

 

The damge cuased is surprisingly high as Chinese buildings are supposed to have been built using modern technology of RCC frame. They are built to withstand severe earthquakes.

 

A structural/civil engineer should comment of the large scale collpse of buildings.
